"Xinxin, what are you doing?"
Upon hearing his voice, Yan Xinxin lifted her head and saw Mo Chuxi in the mirror. Instantly, her pink lips curved into a sweet smile.
"Brother Xi! Good morning!"
"Yuan?"
He called out gently, testing the waters.
Yan Xinxin stared at him for a mont, then nodded brightly, laughing.
"Yes!"
"..."
Mo Chuxi fell silent.
He hadn’t expected Yan Xinxin to switch back to Mu Qianyuan’s primary personality.
But why, out of the blue, would she return to Mu Qianyuan’s state of mind?
He furrowed his brows in deep thought, recalling how last night, after he ca out of the shower, Yan Xinxin was leaning against the wall with an odd expression. Later, she had fallen into reminiscing.
Could it be that sothing significant had happened then? Sothing that triggered her desire to beco Mu Qianyuan again?
"..."
Mo Chuxi couldn’t help but swallow hard.
"Yuan, don’t be afraid. It’s okay."
"Little fool, good morning."
"Yuan’s not a little fool. Brother Xi is!"
Yan Xinxin retorted, then turned around and walked out of the bathroom with a cheerful bounce.
Mo Chuxi stood in place as his relaxed smile quickly disappeared.
He couldn’t let Yan Xinxin continue like this.
He wanted her thoughts to be singular, not fragnted—not to occasionally forget all the things they’d been through together.
Mo Chuxi boarded the plane back to Ancheng with Yan Xinxin.
He didn’t let anyone know about her current ntal state.
On the plane, Yan Xinxin tilted her head against his shoulder and fell asleep.
Mo Chuxi gently stroked her soft cheek and whispered quietly in her ear.
"Xinxin, when we get back ho, I’ll let you see Chun. I hope you can co back—don’t let the two kids worry about you, okay?"
"Mm..."

"Sir, Madam, Miss, Young Master—he... he’s back!"
"Shaoqian’s back?"
Ning Zitong put down her chopsticks and quickly stood up, heading out. Mu Qianshui noticed her hurried deanor and imdiately followed.
The mont she saw Mu Shaoqian standing in the living room, Mu Qianshui rushed forward, thrilled!
"Big Brother! You’re finally back! It’s been almost two months—where did you go? Don’t you know Mom and Dad and I were worried about you?"
Faced with Mu Qianshui’s enthusiasm, Mu Shaoqian shoved her away coldly, as if annoyed.
"Don’t call that so affectionately. I’m not your brother."
Mu Qianshui froze for a mont, her face showing innocent bewildernt.
"Brother, what are you talking about? How could you not be my brother?"
