Mu Shaoqian sat down on the sofa casually, his face filled with impatience.
After spending two months abroad, he now looked even more roguish than before.
"Shaoqian, stop talking nonsense!"
Ning Zitong stepped forward to stop him, terrified that Mu Shaoqian might reveal to Mu Qianshui that she wasn’t biologically related.
"You spent two months outside and only made a few calls back? Do you realize how worried your dad and I were? And Qianshui, she was worried about you too!"
"Why would she be worried about ?"
Mu Shaoqian snorted dismissively.
Mu Qianshui thought his attitude was strange.
"Brother?"
"Don’t call brother. I’m not your brother."

Ning Zitong tried persuading him, deliberately bringing up their years of shared affection.

Mu Qianshui wiped her tears as she stretched out her right leg.

Mu Shaoqian stood up irritably, unwilling to continue listening.
Ever since he learned Mu Qianshui wasn’t his biological sister and had even distanced herself so clearly from Mo Chuxi last ti, every mont he saw her irritated him!

But the mont she turned, her tear-stained face transford into one of bitterness, her expression becoming dark and even her eyes changing.
Mu Shaoqian returned to his room, took a shower, and walked out of the bathroom only to see Mu Qianshui sitting in his room.
He paused, towel in hand.
"What are you doing in my room?"
Mu Qianshui stood up and flashed a smile.
"Brother, after being abroad for so long, you must really miss the taste of ho-cooked food, right? Look, I had Sister Xia make so small snacks for you just now."
She spoke with a smile, clearly trying hard to win him over.
Mu Shaoqian glanced coolly at the snacks on the coffee table and sat down on the sofa.
"Brother."
Mu Qianshui turned to sit beside him, reaching out to grab his hand.
"Brother, I know I was wrong before. Won’t you forgive ?"
She pleaded humbly.
Mu Shaoqian pulled his hand away, his face cold and silent.
Mu Qianshui lifted her tear-filled eyes, looking at him with grievance.
"I know that in Dad, Mom, and your heart, I’ll never be as important as Sister. I, too, like you all, wish Sister hadn’t died all those years ago—that she had been saved by a kind person."
"Why are you saying this? Yuan’s been gone for so many years..."
"No, Sister didn’t really die. She was saved by a kind person and is living well now."
Mu Shaoqian froze in shock.
