There is a large iron gate at the exit of Binjiang Port Passenger Pier.

Outside the iron gate, flags are flying, and the crowd is enormous. More than a dozen vehicles, including live broadcast vans, communication support vehicles, and various police cars, have arrived.

To ensure the order of the event site and the victory parade, the Binjiang Police Departnt deployed over six hundred police officers and auxiliary police officers. A special command center was even established, with the executive deputy director acting as the chief commander.

Inside the iron gate, it was deserted.

Because the passenger ship had already left, the water formation of the Linghai Reserve Camp was also taken over by the captains and crew organized by the Binjiang Port Supervision Bureau and Binjiang Port Authority.

All the officers and soldiers had already disembarked at six thirty and were now forming up at the cargo terminal square not far away.

Additionally, more than eight hundred young n and won recruited from Beihu were queuing up in the freight yard, waiting to board the buses coming from the cargo terminal to various enterprises in Linghai.

Recruiting employees from disaster areas holds significant aning!

Mayor Wang was already prepared, and after Old Ge finished the introduction, he quickly walked up to the young n and won, took the portable loudspeaker handed over by Secretary Wang, and said enthusiastically, "Hello comrades, welco to work in Binjiang. First, on behalf of the Binjiang Municipal Committee and the city governnt, we warmly welco you all!"

On the way here, the young n and won had already figured out that, like Shishou, Linghai is a county-level city and is governed by Binjiang City.

With the mayor of Binjiang City personally coming to greet them, the young n and won were both excited and moved, and led by Secretary Wang, they gave warm applause.

"Confident in life for two hundred years, ready to strike water three thousand miles! You have just stepped out of school, and for so, it might be the first ti venturing far from ho, stepping into society, full of ambition, while harboring various doubts about the future work you are soon to join. On this occasion..."

As Mayor Wang spoke passionately at the front, Secretary Ye and Mayor Qian stood at the back maintaining a smile, inwardly thinking what does this have to do with Binjiang, these young n and won were recruited by Linghai, weren't they, the travel expenses were even covered by Linghai.

Stealing the lilight!

Always reaping the rewards!

Han Yu did not know what Secretary Ye and Mayor Qian were thinking. He was quite far from the workers but could hear clearly and couldn't help but ask, "Brother Fang, what does 'Confident in life for two hundred years, ready to strike water three thousand miles' an?"

Fang Guoya didn't expect him to ask this, and with a smile, asked him, "You don't know the source?"

"I don't know, never learned it, is it a Tang poem?"

"This is a poem written by Chairman M in his youth. 'Confident in life for two hundred years' shows the Chairman's youthful ambition and spirit. 'Ready to strike water three thousand miles' derives from a historical anecdote. I've forgotten the specifics, but it flows naturally from the previous line, vibrant and exciting, allowing one to feel the Chairman's heroic bearing as he swam through the waves in his youth!"

"The Chairman is truly talented, writing so well, even though I don't understand it, it sounds very grand."

"Of course."

Fang Guoya didn't want to continue this topic because he couldn't say much more, so he changed the topic altogether: "Originally, we thought we'd only be welcoming you, but unexpectedly, the superiors even made us join you, letting us be the green leaves to set off your red flower!"

Fang Guoya wasn't joking. Later, not only would the Linghai Reserve Camp be marching the five kiloters, but it would also include the military and civil ergency rescue teams from the Binjiang City Flood Control Command, including the reserve soldiers from the Binjiang Reserve Regint who had participated in flood prevention back ho.

Also involved would be the Ard Police Binjiang Branch, Ard Police Binjiang Fire Departnt, the Civilian Corps of the Chonggang District Ard Forces Departnt, and various party mber assault teams from units that participated in flood prevention earlier.

All of them are lined up in front, and looking back, it was all red flags!

Han Yu didn't expect the city to make such a big deal out of this and couldn't help but laugh, "City leaders might think our camp has over two hundred people in total, which is too few to make an impact, so they brought you along as company."

"It's not 'might', the leaders definitely think that."

"You can't bla , this is nothing to do with ."

"How can it have nothing to do with you? If it weren't for you, why would city leaders think of us?"

Fang Guoya retorted, smiling as he looked at Li Jun, who just finished speaking with the border inspection station leader and walked over, and asked, "Old Li, what did your leaders say? Are you transitioning out of service?"

The things the leaders spoke about just now were so shocking that Li Jun felt like he was dreaming. With a face full of embarrassnt, he smiled and said, "I can't transition out of service anymore. The superiors want to go to Tianjin for training in a few days."

"What training in Tianjin?" Han Yu asked curiously.

Fang Guoya, also forrly with the Ard Police but in firefighting, was very familiar with the matters of the Ard Police and explained with a smile: "Salted Fish, the Ard Police Command College is located in Tianjin. The superiors letting Old Li go to Tianjin for training ans Old Li is going to be promoted and will have to treat us to a al!"

Han Yu realized and asked with a smile, "Promoted to Deputy Regintal Commander?"

"Seems like it."

"Congratulations, congratulations."

While everyone was in high spirits, the military district chief of staff ca over, holding a loudspeaker, and shouted, "Comrades, it's almost ti! Once the music starts, head out as discussed earlier. The flag bearer takes the lead, followed by the military and political officers."

"Raise the flags higher, no need for such stiff movents, this isn't a military parade, it's just a victory parade; if you get tired, you can wave them. Salted Fish, Jianbo, no need to look so serious, have a smile. The citizens are getting impatient waiting, wave your hand and say hello when you see them."

"Got it, understood."

"Almost forgot, several old revolutionaries and seniors have co to greet you in triumph today, rember to salute them when you see them, I'll remind you then."

"Yes!"

As they spoke, the majestic march started playing.

Han Yu hurriedly commanded, "Linghai Reserve Camp, everyone ready, march!"

Xiao Yu, Guo Weitao, Chen Jian, and Gao Jichun were the flag bearers of the Linghai Reserve Camp. The four of them, wearing military belts and with three anti-flood commorative badges pinned to their chests, respectively carried the red flags of "Heroic Assault Battalion," "Red Saber Battalion," "Binjiang Flood Control and Rescue Reserve Camp," and "Linghai Reserve Camp," strutting ahead to the beat of the drums.

Han Yu, Yang Jianbo lined up with Deputy Mayor Shen and Vice Minister Li of Linghai Ard Forces Departnt, following closely behind.

According to the original plan, neither Deputy Mayor Shen nor Vice Minister Li of Linghai Ard Forces Departnt needed to join the parade. This was a temporary request by Secretary Ye, possibly displeased at seeing the flag of the already nonexistent "Binjiang Flood Control and Rescue Reserve Camp" raised again, and he wanted to emphasize that this was Linghai's Reserve Camp through this gesture.

Hao Qiusheng and Sun Youyi led the First Company to follow.

Next ca the Second Company, led by Wu Hai Li and Gu Pengfei.

The Third and Fourth Companies, equally led by their captains and instructors, were marching in place while Xiao Yu and other flag bearers passed through the slowly opening iron gate, appearing before the eagerly waiting citizens, greeted by a round of enthusiastic applause from outside.

...

The TV station had arranged for a team to broadcast live, with comntators explaining the events on site.

"Distinguished leaders, fellow citizens, dear friends, approaching us now is the Binjiang Flood Control and Rescue Reserve Camp. This unit grew amidst the trials of gunpowder smoke, with its predecessor being…"

"The Ten Thousand Miles of the Yangtze River with the danger lying in Jingjiang! This June, continuous heavy rains fell in the Upper Yangtze River, causing water levels in Jingjiang to exceed the warning line. Under orders from the Central Military Commission, the Binjiang Flood Control and Rescue Reserve Camp swiftly mobilized over a thousand miles to support flood fighting in Jingjiang..."

Deputy Division Commander Zhou and other veteran revolutionaries were filled with excitent, their blood boiling as they listened, all standing up with a salute.

Han Yu noticed his mother-in-law and also saw his senior and daughter, so thrilled that he montarily forgot to return the salute.

"Everyone, look to the right!" Yang Jianbo quickly shouted, then raised his arm to return a salute to the veteran revolutionaries.

Han Yu snapped out of it, hurriedly following with a salute.

Among the four small formations of Linghai Reserve Camp, only Li Jun's hat badge and collar tab were different from the others, the red flower collar unique to the Ard Police standing out in the sea of olive green.

A reporter captured a quick snap, deciding to conduct a feature interview later, already thinking of the headline: "A Touch of Red Amongst Green - A Story of Heroic Flood Fighting and Rescue".

Han Xiangning saw Han Yu, her joy was beyond asure, waving her hands tirelessly, happy tears flowing.

Han Han was even happier than her mom, suddenly breaking away from Xiang Fan's embrace. To make sure the veterans could see her clearly, and with no flowerbeds blocking her path ahead, she shouted "Daddy, Daddy" and sprinted forward.

Xiang Fan was startled, wanting to go and bring her back, but there were so many people on site, along with plenty of reporters conducting interviews, even during the live broadcast, so he could only stand anxiously behind the veteran revolutionaries.

Han Yu, beholding his daughter, was so delighted that he set aside all other thoughts, bent over to embrace her, holding her tightly as he showered her with affection!

During this period, Binjiang TV Station almost daily broadcasted news of Binjiang soldiers fighting floods in Beihu.

The citizens knew Han Yu and the other soldiers had already been fighting floods for two months, witnessing such a scene not only drew another round of enthusiastic applause but also a burst of cheers.

Many won, especially the older ones, couldn't help but shed tears.

"Mom, what's up with you, why didn't you pay closer attention?"

"I wasn't looking, what do we do now?"

Deputy Division Commander Zhou still holding a salute, while saluting the Binjiang military and civilian flood control and rescue team as they walked out of the big iron gate, remarked emotionally: "It's fine, let her father hold her. This is a victory parade, not a military review, letting her father hold her better shows the tender-heartedness within our People's Army's iron will!"

Xiang Fan said helplessly: "I can't chase after them, we'll have to let San'er hold her."

Han Xiangning peeked ahead to see Han Han behaving like a little wild child, holding onto her dad's neck while waving her little hands to greet citizens on both sides of the road, chuckling: "San'er has to walk five kiloters, Han Han is so heavy now, San'er's arm probably won't be able to move after carrying her to the Military District."

...

The TV station's live broadcast focus was originally on Linghai Reserve Camp, capturing the mont Little Han Han rushed towards Han Yu.

In the large conference room of the Military District, leaders from the Provincial Military District, Provincial Defense Command, and Provincial Police Departnt all took notice, while flipping through materials on Linghai Reserve Camp's rescue engineering and watching the live broadcast.

Secretary Lu promptly introduced: "Distinguished leaders, the one holding the child is our Binjiang Flood Control and Rescue Camp's Camp Commander, Comrade Han Yu."

"Is that little girl his daughter?"

"It should be."

"He's been away from ho for over two months, the child misses her dad."

"Indeed." Secretary Ye thought for a mont, sighing: "Children miss them, families miss them even more, not only miss but are greatly worried. After all, they're in the most dangerous section of the embanknt, executing the most perilous rescue missions. Seeing so many PLA officers sacrificed, you can imagine how worried the families of the flood rescue soldiers are."

anwhile, Huang Yuanchang was invited to board Mayor Wang's car.

Master Han got into the car with Political Commissioner Chen of the Military District, while Old Ge and Old Wang boarded the cars with Secretary Ye and Mayor Qian, the convoy following from afar behind the various formations of the victory parade.

"Old Ge, Old Wang, you've worked hard."

"Secretary Ye, Mayor Qian, what are you talking about, but we have finally lived up to our mission and completed the tasks you entrusted to us."

Mayor Qian recalled Mayor Wang's expression this morning at the dock when he saw the "China Linghai Developnt Zone Managent Committee" dunship and "Linghai Port Project Command Center" dunship with an expression as if swallowing a fly, saying with humor: "Not only completed it, you've overfulfilled the task!"

Secretary Ye was both pleased and a bit gloomy, quietly asking: "Old Ge, how did they manage to transport away the project materials?"

"No choice, Mayor Wang and Political Commissioner Chen said provincial leaders want to see it, couldn't refuse even if we wanted to."

"After the comndation conference is over, think of a way to get it back. It's inconvenient for Mayor Qian and to step in, you guys don't have that many scruples, you go ask for it."

"Don't worry, I've made it clear to Mayor Wang, once we get back, we have to organize a flood rescue exhibition, how can we exhibit without project materials?"

"That's good, let the city steal the lilight for a while, after the city is done we'll celebrate you guys."
