Maddy stood over the crumpled remains of the giant insect, her eyes glowing with excitent.
"Lucy, this world is insane. If a regular human got dropped into this hell and saw monsters like this, they’d faint... or just lie down and wait to die. But ?"
She grinned.
"This is a field zoologist’s dream. And I’ll take everything you have, giant mosquito. Your traits are exquisite."
She answered the prompt without hesitation.
"Apply the traits. I guess I’m a bloodsucker now..."
Her six eyes shifted, almost shy like a child finally getting sothing she had secretly wanted for years.
"I’m kinda into... the wings, yeah. Wings. GOSH! Will that make fly? Acck! I want the wings but store most of the body parts."

A sharp pressure built along her back. Flesh shifted. mbranes stretched outward before stabilizing into sleek, translucent wings. They shimred faintly with mana veins running through them.

They were beautiful in a terrifying way, shimring with a tallic gray sheen. She gave them a test flutter, and the high pitched hum made the nearby plants shake.
"Oh, wow! I’m..."
She fluttered faster. Her small, round body wobbled at first, then slowly... slowly lifted off the ground. Dust scattered beneath her as her shadow separated from the cave floor.
For a second, she just hovered there, six eyes wide in disbelief.
"I AM FLYING, LUCY!"
Her wings buzzed louder, unstable but powerful. She tilted slightly to the left, overcorrected then steadied herself midair.
"I’M ACTUALLY DOING IT! LOOK AT !"

"What? I am not going to—"
She shot up three ters too fast and barely twisted away from a stalactite.
"—crash. See? Perfect control!"

Maddy laughed, the sound echoing through the cave as she hovered again, wings adjusting instinctively this ti.
"I can feel the air around . This is so much better than crawling."
She spun in place, testing angles, dipping low and then rising again. Each movent grew smoother, more deliberate.
"This is my first ti adding a body part from a monster I actually liked. Yeah... I’ll definitely keep this as an option for my forms. I can remove the trait and reapply it whenever I need. Ack! I can’t wait to try other winged monsters!"
Her excitent was cut short as she slamd into a wall.
"Aww... yeah, I better master flying first."
But the wings weren’t the biggest change. As the Prey Detection trait did its work in her body, a new awareness ignited. She could feel it.
She looked toward the ceiling, where a massive hollow led to the higher levels of the Glow Garden.
"Oh... that’s... incredible. I can sense every heartbeat... every twitch... every drop of blood in the distance. It’s overwhelming... but I can control it. I can use this."
She paused.
"It’s... intoxicating. All this life... the predator inside ... awakened."
She could feelthe rhythm of the Mammoth Mosquito’s wings upstairs.
"The red dots are thick up there. That must be the spawning ground."
With a powerful snap of her new wings, Maddy blurred into the air. She weaved through thick vines with her Rapid Reflexes, spiraling upward until she reached a vast chamber swarming with Mammoth Mosquitoes.
They turned their needle like heads toward her, the buzzing deafening.
"You’re all going to be reincarnated as part of my children... may your traits serve well."
She didn’t want a fight. She wanted a harvest. Hovering in the center of the swarm, she summoned the dark, oily energy of the Demonic Ogre buried deep in her soul.
"Let’s see what a real monster can do. DΣMӨПIᄃ BᄂӨӨD ΛЯƬ: HELLMOUTH!"
Maddy’s jaw unhinged, her entire chest splitting apart to reveal a swirling, pitch black vortex of gravity. A terrifying, abyssal maw larger than her entire body erupted into the air.
WHOOOOOOOOM!
The gravity was irresistible. The mosquitoes that flapped toward her were instantly drawn in, unable to resist. Others tried to flee, beating their wings frantically, but even they were pulled backward, sucked into the dark void of her mouth.
The sound was like a giant vacuum cleaner made of nightmares. All the mosquitoes, and even loose rocks were swallowed whole into the darkness.
In less than a minute, the buzzing stopped. The room was deathly silent. Maddy snapped her chest back together and landed lightly on the floor, letting out a small, satisfied breath.
"That... was efficient. My mouth is a hell of a sucker! BURRRPPP!!!"

She opened her map and saw the red dots moving toward her. She knew instantly—another monster, drawn by the chaos after she’d devoured all the Mammoth Mosquitoes.
"Oop, did I disrupted the other insects? Ooh... more to swallow."
