Aurora grabbed a notebook and started solving harder problems, testing herself over and over.
Equations, chemical formulas, historical events—everything made sense.
By the ti night fell, she sat back and stared at the ceiling.
"If I take an exam now..." she muttered, "...I think I’ll pass. Maybe I should try to see the high school syllabus."
With a little bit of confidence, she opened the high school textbook and went through it.
To her surprise, even the high school syllabus seed easy for her.
Aurora flipped through the high school textbooks, her eyes scanning the pages. At first, she expected to struggle, but as she read, everything clicked instantly.
"Cell division... mitosis and iosis..." she muttered. "Oh, this is simple."
She moved on to physics.
"Newton’s second law... force equals mass tis acceleration. F = ma. Basic."
She couldn’t believe it.
Before the coma, she had to study hard just to keep up, but now?
It was like her brain had turned into a supercomputer.
Aurora grabbed a blank notebook and started writing. She tested herself with complex math problems and chemistry reactions—everything was easy.
Her hand moved faster, her confidence growing with each answer.
An idea struck her.
"If I can master high school subjects this quickly... why not aim even higher?"
She grabbed a college-level book from the shelf, flipping through the pages.
At first, she hesitated.
But then she started reading, and within minutes, she was solving calculus problems, understanding advanced biology, and even reading philosophy essays without trouble.
Aurora put the book down, her heart racing.
"This... this isn’t normal."
She looked at her hands, then at her reflection in the mirror.
Had the coma... changed her?
Was this so kind of ability?
Her eyes narrowed as she clenched her fists.
"Wow! Did I get the halo of the female lead?" Aurora was so excited that she almost danced.
"So, does that an I have so other golden finger, too?"
Then, like an idiot, Aurora said,
"System! Space! Enter! Out! Open, Sesa!"
Nothing.
Aurora could only give up and say,
"Maybe I am overthinking...Ugh! Anyways, I should ask mother to talk with the principal about the grades skipping exam."
With that thought, she stood up and exited her room.
At dinner, she told about her decision. Though Mary and Adam were worried, they still accepted her decision.
Theodore, on the other hand, whispered sothing to Olivia.
Lucas ignored them and turned toward Aurora,
"If you have any doubt, co to or Adriana; We will teach you."
Adriana nodded.
Aurora only smiled.
The next day.
Mary had already inford the principal about Aurora’s condition, and with the dical proof, it was pretty easy to get an appointnt with him.
As they reached the principal’s office, Aurora’s good mood collapsed.
Coming out of the principal’s office was Caorline.
Even after not seeing her for 3 years, Aurora couldn’t forget Caroline.
Caroline was perfect: good grades, good family background, and great fashion sense.
At first glance, they both liked each other and beca friends, but when Caroline’s crush started to like Aurora, Caroline hated Aurora.
She made things difficult for Aurora.
At first, Aurora apologized, thinking it was truly her fault.
However, only after Olivia made her understand that it was that crush’s fault did Aurora let go of the guilt.
She thought Caroline would forget about the incident as ti passed, but she was wrong.
Caroline didn’t forget, instead, she made it her mission to expose Aurora’s every lie.
Caroline who was exiting the office with so papers, too, saw Aurora and was surprised. before she walked up to her,
"Aurora, is that you?"
Mary looked at the young lady with black hair and blue eyes and gazed at Aurora with an inquiring look.
Reluctantly, Aurora explained to Mary,
"She was my schoolmate."
Mary gave Caroline a polite nod but remained quiet, allowing Aurora to handle the situation.
Caroline, on the other hand, smiled—a perfectly rehearsed, sweet smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes.
"I can’t believe it’s really you," Caroline said, tilting her head.
"Three years in a coma... and now you’re back? Wow, that’s... impressive."
Aurora could already hear the subtle condescension in her tone.
She said with a smile. "Yeah, I’m back."
Caroline glanced at the principal’s door and then at Aurora.
"What brings you here? Are you going to get enrolled in middle school classes? Alas, two months had already passed since school started. I don’t think it will be easy for you to cope with the middle school syllabus."
Aurora chuckled,
"Caroline even after 3 years, you still haven’t learned the lesson of not poking your business where it doesn’t belong to."
Caroline shook her head gently,
"No, I was just worried. Anyways, what are you here for ?"
"I’m here for a grade-skipping exam," Aurora said, keeping her voice even.
"I plan to return to high school."
Caroline’s eyes widened slightly before a chuckle escaped her lips.
"Skipping grades? Aurora, don’t take this the wrong way, but... You barely kept up before. And now you think you can just jump ahead?
Then she turned toward Mary and sighed,
"Look, your mother is looking so old because of how unruly you are. Even her wrinkles are so visible. Don’t you think you are overestimating yourself?"
Mary stiffened, but Aurora placed a hand on her mother’s arm, signaling her not to interfere.
Aurora t Caroline’s gaze head-on and smiled.
"Yeah, like the way you thought Jace liked you even though you were out of his league."
Caroline’s smile faltered for a fraction of a second before she quickly regained her composure.
Her blue eyes flashed with irritation, but she masked it with a laugh.
"Oh, Aurora," she said, tilting her head slightly.
"Still as sharp-tongued as ever, I see. But that doesn’t change the fact that you’re being unrealistic.
Just because you had a miraculous recovery doesn’t an you suddenly beca a genius."
Aurora shrugged. "I guess we’ll find out soon enough."
Caroline humd, tapping the stack of papers against her palm.
"Well, if you can pass, I will give throw a party and invite the entire grade."
