She didn’t say anything. Just looked at him with one brow raised.
The boy smiled and reached into his pocket. He pulled out a black credit card and placed it in her hand.
"There’s half a million dollars on that," he said.
Olivia took the card and twirled it between her fingers. Then she looked up at him and said with a soft snort, "You really think I can buy five Chanel bags with just half a million?"
The boy blinked. "You can’t?"
Olivia smiled brightly. "Nope."
The boy looked at Olivia with curiosity in his eyes. Then he grinned a little and asked, "Aren’t you gonna try to impress or sothing? I an, you probably already know I co from a super-rich family."
Olivia raised one brow and gave him a small nod. "You’re right. I should be chasing a guy like you. You’re rich and not too bad-looking."
The boy smiled proudly, clearly enjoying her words.
But then Olivia tilted her head and added with a calm voice, "But..."
The boy’s smile froze.
Olivia continued, "But the problem is, one day you might treat the sa way you treated that girl. You’ll act like I never even existed. Like we were strangers."
The boy blinked. His easygoing attitude disappeared. He turned his head and glanced in the direction where the girl had walked off. Then he looked back at Olivia, more serious now.
"I’m not like that," he said quietly. "I usually don’t explain myself to anyone... but since that girl might co bothering you one day, I’ll tell you."
He paused for a second before speaking again. "She’s just so girl from my class. A bit too obsessed. Last year, she ca to crying, begging on her knees. Her mom was sick and needed money. So I helped. Gave her what I could."
He shrugged.
"Since then, she started acting like I was her prince or sothing. Wrote letters. Dread up stuff. But those letters? I never even got them. Soone else used my na to talk to her. I didn’t know anything about it until recently."
Olivia listened with one brow raised.
The boy sighed.
"She’s been chasing ever since. Showed up at school, called my friends, even contacted my parents. I’ve already told her the truth. Showed her proof too. But she’s stuck on the idea that we had so kind of love story. Like she’s under so creepy spell or sothing."
Olivia nodded slowly. "Well... that explains why you were so sure there was nothing between you two."
The boy gave her a tired smile.
But Olivia wasn’t done. "So, what if she cos after now?"
He raised his eyebrow again. "She won’t dare. I’ll make sure of it. I’ll hire bodyguards if needed. You’ll be safe 24/7."
Olivia sighed and shook her head. "If I had known I’d end up in so love triangle full of drama, I wouldn’t have helped you at all."
Then she held out her hand with a straight face. "Since I’m already involved, shouldn’t I get a little... compensation?"
The boy stared at her for a second before bursting out laughing. Then he reached into his pocket again and handed her another card.
"You’re sothing else," he said. "I’ve t a lot of girls, but you really have this weird charm."
Olivia nodded, flipping the card between her fingers. "It’s probably because I’m beautiful."
The boy froze for a second... then laughed again. "You’re not lying, though."
It was true. Olivia wasn’t just confident.... she really was beautiful, like a painting that ca to life. Sohow, the way she spoke didn’t sound boastful. It just sounded like a fact.
After a mont of silence, the boy asked, "Do you want to drop you off at your place? I kind of made you late."
Olivia raised a brow. "I don’t sit in anything under a BMW."
The boy blinked. "You don’t even worry, I might be a scamr or sothing?"
Olivia looked him up and down calmly. Then she smirked. "If you were a scamr, you’d be the one regretting ever eting ."
The boy couldn’t understand what she ant by that, but sothing about her made him believe her words. Without saying anything, he led her to a sleek, black car that looked even more expensive than a BMW. It shimred like a jewel in the sunlight.
He opened the passenger door for her like a gentleman.
Without hesitation, Olivia slid into the seat, adjusting her bag as if she rode in luxury cars every day.
The ride was smooth and quiet. Soon, they reached Olivia’s Residential Area, one of the fanciest neighborhoods in the city. The tower stood tall behind shiny gates, and the trees lining the road were trimd perfectly.
The boy’s eyes widened a little as he looked around.
"I never thought you lived here," he said honestly.
Olivia smiled slightly. "Even I didn’t know I belonged to a rich family," she replied in her usual mysterious voice.
The boy stared at her with growing interest. He had never t anyone like her. Olivia’s strange answers, her bold attitude, and her beauty left him completely intrigued.
He didn’t even realize he was smiling again.
This girl... might just be trouble.
But she was the kind of trouble he didn’t mind chasing.
For the boy, Olivia felt like a brand-new Chapter in a very exciting book... one full of mystery, beauty, and challenge. A Chapter he wanted to read slowly and enjoy.
But for Olivia?
He was just a paragraph. A small, interesting part of her day. Not boring, not forgettable... but definitely not special enough to make her pause.
At university, there were tons of boys chasing after Olivia. So sent her flowers. So waited outside her classroom just to say "hi." So even tried to impress her by showing off their grades or luxury watches.
But Olivia?
She didn’t even glance in their direction.
She liked rich boys, sure... but only the ones who were really devoted.
