PREPARATION
The camp was buzzing with activity.
The bandits had gathered around the fire, their voices loud and animated. The stranger's offer had ignited a spark of excitent, a hunger for the riches that lay within reach.
"This could be it," one of the bandits said, his eyes gleaming. "This could be our ticket out of this place."
"Or our ticket to the grave," another countered. "You heard the man. The convoy is heavily guarded. We could all die."
"Since when have we been afraid of death?" i said, her voice sharp. "We're bandits. We've been living on the edge our whole lives. This is no different."
Shen Chen listened to the debate, his mind racing. The opportunity was imnse, but so were the risks. He needed to plan carefully, to ensure that they succeeded where others would fail.
"Old Liu," he said, his voice cutting through the noise. "We need to scout the route. Know the terrain, the ambush points, the escape routes."
Old Liu nodded slowly. "Agreed. I'll send out scouts tomorrow. We need to know exactly what we're dealing with."
Shen Chen turned to the others, his voice firm. "We also need to train. The convoy will be guarded by experienced cultivators. We need to be ready for anything."
The bandits murmured their agreent, their earlier fear replaced by determination.
---
The next two weeks were a blur of preparation.
Shen Chen pushed himself harder than ever, his body and mind honed to a razor's edge. He sparred with the bandits, his blade dancing through their defenses with ease. He studied the terrain, morizing every rock and crevice. He ditated, his mind focused on the battle ahead.
[Cultivation Progress: Golden Core Realm (1st Level).]

[Technique Mastery: Fla Shield (Interdiate).]
He felt the power flowing through him, the Void Core pulsing with energy. He was ready. He was more than ready.
But the bandits needed to be ready too. He trained them in small group tactics, teaching them to work together, to cover each other's weaknesses. He showed them how to use the terrain to their advantage, how to strike and fade, how to survive against a superior force.
"Rember," he said, his voice sharp. "We're not trying to win a fair fight. We're trying to survive. Hit them hard, hit them fast, and get out before they can recover."
The bandits listened, their faces intent. They trusted him. They believed in him.
I won't let them down.
