It seems that Heavenly Spirits just live everywhere, either serving these races or making up their entire world. She said she served angels in a huge castle where they ard and practiced fighting demons. Apparently angels are constantly training and dedicating themselves on protecting the mortal world from demons and anything related to them.

He was very happy, so we smiled and congratulated him for his growth… I suppose that's for the better anyways. It would be awkward if he suddenly beca a handso young man while keeping his childish tendencies.
"That's nice to hear Gabriel!" I patted his little head. "Who wants so ice cream?"
"! ee!" he started jumping happily.
