When the driver was waiting downstairs, he first made a call to Atlas Hallow.
Although he was driving for Hailey Hill, he knew who his real boss was.
"Young Master, Miss Hill wants to visit the company to see you. We’ll be there in about thirty minutes." He didn’t really understand the current relationship between the Young Master and Miss Hill. The Young Master seldom stayed overnight here, maybe just once or twice in all these years, yet he was very generous and took great care of Miss Hill. As a servant, he simply couldn’t understand.
"Mm..." The man’s voice on the other end was cold and indifferent before he hung up.
The driver was long used to it; everyone in the Hallow Family knew that Atlas Hallow was sparing with his words and disliked talking more than necessary.
In the office, even the air exuded a gloomy, icy scent.
Atlas Hallow’s face was dark and frightening. His good mood from the morning had vanished entirely at this mont.
The burden of guilt oppressed him, and yet he knew he could not satisfy Hailey Hill’s request. He had t the woman he loved, a woman for whom he wanted to overturn fate itself, let alone fulfill a promise made in the past.
Breaking promises was sothing Atlas Hallow couldn’t accept from himself, yet he had to do this.
Charlotte Miller’s body belonged to him, and no one else should think of entering her body, whether it’s a man or another woman’s egg; it simply cannot be, and he absolutely would not allow it.
That nearly obsessive and insane possessiveness boiled within him every day. His satisfaction from possessing Charlotte Miller made his male desire surge rapidly, growing more intense each day. He clearly understood that if he truly kept his promise and implanted his and Hailey Hill’s child into Charlotte Miller’s body, it would an the destruction of the entire world.
Atlas no longer recalled how he had agreed to such an absurd request initially.
Indeed, everything had changed because he t Charlotte Miller.
Charlotte’s office wasn’t far from his. Having her within his sphere of control always gave him peace of mind. But her presence here now made Atlas Hallow a little uncomfortable; he didn’t like Charlotte eting Hailey Hill. The girl was very sensitive.
Just then, the office door lightly knocked twice. Judging by the sound, it was Charlotte Miller.
"Co in..." Atlas Hallow put down the pen in his hand, watching as the office door opened slightly, and then Charlotte’s clear and alluring little face peered through the gap before she entered with a smile.
"President Hallow, I’d like to take a leave of absence today; I have so matters to attend to." She just finished a call with Ethan Baird; she had to deliver a docunt to him, but that wasn’t the most important reason. The crucial thing was she had an appointnt with Jack Smith.
Jack Smith was now incredibly successful; his schedule was packed tightly, and he ntioned there was only lunch ti today. After that, it would be two weeks later because he was going abroad to attend an award ceremony and promote so films.
Two weeks later, Charlotte really couldn’t wait. Luna Miller could cause who knows how much trouble by then.
While delivering the docunt, she could et him to discuss Luna’s situation thoroughly.
"Leave of absence, what’s the matter?" Atlas Hallow looked up at Charlotte, whose small face was smiling like a flower, sowhat ingratiating. Indeed, when seeking sothing from him, she switched to a charming deanor, enticing enough to make his heart itch endlessly.
"I’m going to see Ethan Baird for work-related matters." Ethan’s office building was already completed, though she had no idea how it was; after lunch with Jack Smith, she’d go find Ethan to discuss work and see their new company.
"Approved..." Atlas Hallow stood up, walked over to Charlotte Miller, and agreed without hesitation.
It was indeed very convenient; her going to see Ethan Baird was best as it avoided any possibility of running into Hailey Hill, which would make her uncomfortable.
He agreed so easily? Charlotte looked at Atlas Hallow suspiciously, a bit unbelieving.
"Then President Hallow, I’ll be on my way?" She tentatively said, unsure if Atlas’s approval was ant to tease her.
"Wait a mont." Atlas Hallow held Charlotte’s hand, pulling her into his embrace.
The masculine scent overwheld her senses, filling her breathing, even the fibers of her clothing were soaked in his multifaceted musk.
