Thinking this in his head, Zephyr decided to step out of the shadow of the giant spearhead and go outside to do so stargazing, but the mont he was about to try to step out from his hiding spot, his heart suddenly started beating loudly!

And as if so kind of ’switch’ had been activated, more and more objects started falling from the sky at an insanely high speed straight onto the ash desert!

It was as if missiles were falling from the sky one after another and causing massive explosions; powerful shockwaves spread in all directions, causing more ash and smoke to blow up in the air!
Zephyr hid below the massive spearhead and peeked outside only to see sothing so shocking that his jaw almost fell on the floor from sheer disbelief!
"What!?"
There were massive laser beams raining straight from the sky everywhere around him!
Only then did Zephyr realize what the so-called ’Heavy Rainfall’ was all about!!
Acid rain and radiation rain were like child’s play in front of this catastrophic disaster!
There were golden sci-fi lasers raining down on this ash desert from the sky at a speed not much slower than light!
"How is this bulsh*t even possible!?"
There were no spaceships in the sky, there were no sci-fi weapons anywhere nearby in sight, and yet, the sky was raining laser beams!
It was simply unscientific and bizarre!
"Don’t tell that the reason why there’s nothing living in this desert of ash is because laser rain hits it every single day!?"
"Th-that would explain why I could find a single intact boulder or any tree or anything at all... it’s all getting blasted every single day by lasers and completely erased from existence!"
Only then did Zephyr realize why there was only this spearhead left intact!
The spear was made up of silver! And silver is one of the most reflective tals out there! It can reflect the laser beam rain to so extent!
Zephyr put his hand at the silver spearhead, and sure enough, it was getting hotter with each passing mont!
"It’s heating up from the continuous laser bombardnt! I thought that this spearhead was here since a long ti ago because it looked highly damaged, but it might be possible that this thing has only been here for a few days at most!"
Although silver can reflect laser beams to so extent, it still heats up and would still get damaged as ti passes.
The damage to this spearhead likely happened in just a span of a few days, and it’s likely not been here for long, or it would have already been completely destroyed with nothing left intact!
’But this also confirms that whoever used this spearhead was likely here not too long ago and the settlent of giants carved on this spear is likely still existing!’
If that settlent had existed decades ago, it would have been possible that it was destroyed or the people living in it had moved away sowhere else in search of better resources.
But the golden laser beam rainfall has cleared a lot of Zephyr’s doubts!
The spearhead is likely not too old, and the settlent likely exists out there sowhere; all he needs to do is reach it sohow!

While Zephyr was busy thinking about various things in his head, a massive laser beam ca crashing down and fell just a few inches away from the spearhead’s side.
The laser beam was powerful enough to pierce the layer of ash covering the ground and crack the very ground beneath it!

As if a literal laser beam rain was still not enough, Zephyr’s bad luck decided to create even more trouble for him.
The cracks in the ground widened and destabilized the spearhead due to the loosening of the sand, and it started creaking and shaking.
Seeing this situation, Zephyr had no other choice but to support the shaky spearhead from falling with his own hands!

By that point, the silver tal had beco so hot that when Zephyr tried to support it with his hands, his palms started burning from the insanely hot temperature, and the spearhead even started lting!
"Sh*t!"
Although Zephyr had a powerful physique with insane strength and defensive capabilities, as a mortal being, he was still too far from becoming impervious to pain and intense heat!
The sll of burning at spread in the air as molten silver started to fall down on the ground!
Only then did Zephyr realize that below the layer of ash there was a lot of molten silver that was likely hidden by the smoke and falling ash that settled down on the ground after the laser beam rain stopped yesterday!
