Ignoring the comnts of the viewers as usual, Zephyr made his way to the massive hut and slipped inside through the large gaps in the broken wooden fra of the hut.
Just like outside, the wooden hut was dilapidated and clearly hadn’t been maintained by anyone for a long ti.
’This is weird; I thought I might encounter a living giant by now but I haven’t seen a single one until now...’
A giant corpse was lying on the ground not too far away from this settlent, and hundreds of thousands of snail monsters were eating it; that was the only giant that Zephyr had seen until now.
And even that was just the lower torso of a giant, not a full dead body.
The insides of the wooden hut were pretty much empty.
The person who made this hut didn’t even put a mat on the floor; it was just dry soil everywhere on the ground.
The hut was massive, so it took a long ti for Zephyr to investigate the entirety of it, and the results of the search were very disappointing.
There were a few massive ceramic pots in the hut, but they were either empty or broken beyond repair.
There was no food or water in them; not even insects were lingering around them. It was truly disappointing.
But of course, everything in the hut was not as disappointing as the empty pots and bowls.
Zephyr actually found a shelf carved into a wall high above, and there seed like sothing was shining over there, so he decided to climb to that shelf.
The wooden hut was tall enough to put even skyscrapers to sha, and Zephyr was sure that the shelf alone was likely at least a kiloter from the ground!
’This hut is empty, but perhaps if I find another one, it might not be empty and I might get in trouble with a giant; it is better to take the risk here instead of sowhere else...’
With determination flashing in his eyes, Zephyr forcefully embedded his fingers in the wooden walls and climbed upwards by making holes with his fingernails!
He had no equipnt for climbing, no gear for safety and protection from fall damage; there was no parachute, and there certainly were no insurance companies here that would pay for his dical bills if he got injured.
All Zephyr had for him was a fearless mind and a desperation so powerful that it worked like a fuel and pushed him forward.
Thankfully, he had been blessed with a powerful physique, and his fingers were strong enough to make holes in the wooden logs and grip the wall more effectively than a house lizard!
’To think a day would co when I would be the one acting like a lizard and would slighter around the walls of soone’s house...’
’Sigh, you never know where life would take you in the next mont... it’s really unpredictable...’
Zephyr didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry at his dire circumstances, but all he knew was that he had to survive no matter what.
’I wonder if I would even die if I fall from here... with this strong body, I might only get paralyzed at most I think...’
’Well, being paralyzed in this dangerous land is almost as good as dying so it would be better to not try it...’
Thankfully, Zephyr didn’t have a phobia of heights, and whatever fear he still had was erased by his ’Perfect Combat Sense’ ability.
Thus, there was no need to falter, no need to panic; with steady hands and a steady pace, Zephyr crawled to the shelf located almost a kiloter high with sheer grit and determination.
But of course, Zephyr still didn’t find food and water.
He reached the shelf in about an hour; from up there, everything down below looked extrely small and distant.
"As I expected, there’s no water here either... well, my luck’s always been bad so I am not even surprised anymore..."
"But I didn’t expect there to be so valuable stuff here..."
Although there was no food or water on the shelf, there were other items there.
The first item was a small mirror about twice the height of Zephyr’s body, and then there was a small doll about the sa height as Zephyr, and it was wearing a set of armor that looked quite sturdy!
The third item was a massive roll of tissue paper and a big spool of white thread along with a needle.
All those items were in perfect shape and seed very useful!
’I see, so that’s how the system will give the artifacts that I pull from the lottery...’
’So this is the so called ’Armour of Jauregia’, it kind of looks like that stealthy bulletproof uniform that the special forces commando’s wear for urban warfare purposes...’
’It even has a gas mask! That’s very good! It can help protect against the pollution and smoke of the ash desert!’
A happy smile appeared on Zephyr’s face as he imdiately stripped the stuffed doll of its armor and wore the armor himself!
"Phew! Finally, I don’t have to run around naked..."
Zephyr heaved a sigh of relief as he walked over to the full-body mirror and looked at himself wearing that commando uniform.
"As I thought, a special forces uniform does look extrely good on , hehe~"
Without wasting any more ti, Zephyr imdiately opened the description tab for the artifact!
