"Bam!" Harley Graham fell onto his knees. At this mont, he really wanted to cry but had no tears. He felt so wronged, he really thought the young man was playing tricks on him, what kind of dical herbs were those, even he never heard of their ntion in his life.
How should he have known that Gabriel Jones would treat Darius this way? Had he known, he would have even respected Darius as an elder! Now what was he supposed to do? He couldn’t stop the ugly expression on his face from showing.
The other people in the shop were all watching and shaking their heads in their hearts. Had Harley Graham been slightly more polite in his speech and not so forceful in his attitude, he would still have a way out now.
But now, he had truly brought this onto himself!
Gabriel Jones imdiately turned his head, his wrinkled face showing a fearso anger.
How could he not be angered?
As an alchemist, the one thing he sought in his entire life was to raise his own level in the arts of alchemy and obtain more pill formulae. Now, here was an obvious "Encyclopedia of Pill Formulae", and that guy actually asked him to get lost? Did he bore so hatred towards him?
"Fool!" He shouted in anger, "What’s going on here? Explain to !"
At this mont, Harley wanted to die; under the interrogation of Gabriel Jones, he did not dare not to answer, so he just recounted the incident that happened previously while stamring. Although he did not attempt to distort the facts, the insulting words he spoke to Darius were naturally not repeated. He wasn’t that much of an idiot.
"What great authority you have!" Gabriel Jones imdiately gave him a hearty slap, causing Harley to spin around on the spot three tis before finally stopping, completely silly from the beating. "You haven’t heard of them so that ans they don’t exist? Should all the hundreds of thousands of dicinal plants you haven’t heard of be removed from this world then? Let tell you, these five dicinal plants indeed do exist!
Violet Lotus Grass can be found in Eaglewood Valley, Blue Branch Fruit can be found in one of the valleys in Hundred Linked Mountains, Hundred Year Vermilion Bamboo grows in areas of extre Heat, Red Leafed Potato is found underneath volcanic ash! Only Rotted Leafed Dried Tree Roots are rarer, it can only be found underneath the old roots of a tree that has rotted for more than one hundred years!"
"I was wrong! I was wrong!" Harley kept apologizing in a panic. What else was there to suspect if even Gabriel Jones himself had said so? He stretched out his hand and slapped himself, saying, "I shouldn’t have been conceited, I shouldn’t have behaved like a snob!"
To get into the sanctuary took so much effort from his family and connections, much less to get a spot in the Apex dicine Pavilion. If he lost this job, then he would be forced back to earth where a Tier-1 Alchemist of the interdiate level was nothing one in a million.
Gabriel once again turned to Darius and said, "Young friend, many apologies, many apologies."
He suddenly started, because he recalled that before he left his master, he had heard his master ntion a particular formula. That was a pill used for increasing the affinity of one’s heart thod with the person, greatly benefiting his cultivation and overall abiltiies, and it required the five types of dicinal plants that Darius had wanted to buy.
That ti, his master had sighed with regret and said that although this formula did not need to be refined into the form of a pill, the effects were unexpectedly excellent. Unfortunately, possibly due to the passage of ti, only the nas of so of the main ingredients were known, yet the actual thod of creation was long lost.
As such, it left a very strong impression on him, and now he had suddenly recalled everything.
Could it be that Darius was buying these dicinal ingredients to concoct the Elent Heart Increase Spirit Powder?
The old man couldn’t help the increasingly rapid beating of his heart. If he could get this formula and place it on the grave as an offering to his late master, then his esteed master would feel happy in the afterlife!
"Young friend, the dicinal ingredients you’re buying, could it be that you want to concoct-"
"Elent Heart Increase Spirit Powder," Darius nodded, and truthfully said, "My Heart thod isn’t that great so I need it."
"Pu!"
Harley imdiately puffed in shock. One’s heart thod was the foundation of one’s cultivation journey, a poor heart thod would be nothing less than shotting one’s self on the foot and stagnating on the early realms for a lifeti!
Any’s eyes brightened as well. She was a mber of the Immortal Pavilion, and her brother told her that Darius didn’t plan on only renting the cultivation rooms but pills and whatnot will also be seld. Given her father being a small rchant, she barely got herself a good master in the academy but the heart thod they gave was barely dicore.
If Darius planned to sell such a pill inside of the Immortal Pavilion, the value of the pavilion would jump into new heights, making it famous across Dragon City if not outside. At this mont, she couldn’t help but look at Darius in a different gaze.
Darius, ah, Darius, how many secrets are you hiding?
She was getting more and more curious about Darius. Now, even if Darius said that he didn’t want her as a follower anymore, she reckoned her personal curiosity would make her stay; she truly didn’t feel like leaving his side anyti soon and would rather follow him around after working hours.
A/N: A face-slapping scene in a cultivation world is a must hehe. Also Power Stones, Golden Tickers and comnts will truly be appreiciated, keep in mind that the Immortal Pavilion isn’t rely the mysterious little store in the corner, I plan to make it a real force that has a say in the world, while not on the sa level as kingodom-building novels, it is close on that specterm.
Oh and this will be last Author note at the end of a Chapter so rest assured, rest will be on the real author’s note and i truly didn’t do this to affect the word count. Much love everyone
