"Young friend, please take a seat!" Gabriel Jones politely invited, displaying extre solicitousness, without showing any arrogance typical of a Tier-2 Grade alchemist. "I can guarantee that within five days, no, three days, I’ll have the dicinal ingredients that you require delivered to you."

"Good!" Darius nodded. While the Immortal Pavilion was a standalone force and the system greatly emphasized that, he was weak now, so he might as well befriend a couple more people and extend his social network.

anwhile, for a small character like Harley Graham, a small punishnt was enough. He would not lower himself to the sa level as him, Darius distaied such acts and he truly disliked oblierating a man’s career over showing so arrogance and direspect...His morals simply couldn’t allow him to do such a thing.

Gabriel Jones was delighted and hurriedly led Darius and Any to an elegant study on the third floor.

"If I may ask, who is the young friend’s master?" the old man asked.

"I have no master, I’m self-taught," Darius said. In reality, the system was considered his master in a way, but he wouldn’t obviously reveal such a thing, so he just casually replied to end the conversation there about such matters.

Gabriel Jones naturally did not believe him. Darius was so young... How was it possible for him to have such a deep knowledge of alchemy? However, he was very impressed with Darius and had the intention to make him join Apex’s dicine Pavilion. Thus, he asked him nurous questions to examine Darius’s skill level.

Darius calmly answered all his questions. He was considered a bona fide Alchemist; whether that knowledge didn’t take decades or not to learn, who could compare to him in the field of alchemy when it ca to anything that isn’t of a high level?

Darius was confident that the inheritance the system gave him was much more profoud than a re basic one, and maybe due to his cultivation that he couldn’t acces higher level of information, but as of now, a Tier-2 Alchemist questions were a walk in the park for him.

As their conversation continued, the leading role gradually fell into his hands; he occasionally caused Gabriel Jones to rack his brains in ponder, and the old man’s face beca more and more respectful.

There was no seniority in academics; whoever has the ability becos the teacher, this rule was valid in all races, throughout history and respected by all.

In the beginning, the old man kept addressing him "young friend", placing himself on a higher position, but very quickly, he changed his manner of address and addressed Darius as "fellow alchemist". In the end, with his forehead beaded with cold sweat, he couldn’t help standing up and respectfully stand at Darius s side to listen closely to his teachings, as if he were an apprentice. It was just like when he used to be taught by his esteed master...

In his heart, Darius had already reached a very high position. He even had a kind of feeling...if only considering theory and insight, Darius had far surpassed his own master!

"Grandmaster, may I follow by your side, and continue to listen to your teachings?" When Gabriel Jones said this, Any was almost shocked to death. But after she carefully thought it over, it seed to be the natural order of events.

However, if this was known by the other Great Families and Guilds in the imperial city, she was afraid that everyone would die of envy and stop at nothing to figure out where did this young man co from and his background!

This was an actual Tier-2 Grade Alchemist! Although he was only a low-level one, the title of Tier-2 Grade was more than enough, wasn’t it?

Any was astonished, and her resistance to the idea of being Darius’s follower decreased slightly...even a grandmaster alchemist like Gabriel Jones was begging to follow Darius, so what did she have to complain about, a re sixth layer of the first realm that luckily got acquianted with him?

Darius shook his head and said, "At this mont, I have no intention to take on any disciples." In truth, Gabriel Jones’s talent in the field of alchemy, in his opinion, could only be considered ordinary. He truly marvelred over the knowldge of the inheritance. As in practice however...things were quite different since his realm greatly restricted the pills he can concot and sell in his pavilion.

"---"

"Shaless."

Darius ignored the system comnt, in his mind, he already inherited that knowldge and was now his, so he had the right to boast for a bit, no?

"Frog in a well."

Hearing the enxt comnt, Darius really considered whether a mute button existed for this annoying system with its arrogant persoanlity. The system left no room for wait and only found a way to diminish his confidence.

Unaware of Darius’s inner thoughts, Gabriel only felt that it was a pity as he looked at the young man before him, and furthermore fully realized that Darius refused because his natural talent in alchemy was ordinary; therefore, he was not qualified to beco his disciple.

He too felt that this was natural. After all, Darius’s knowledge and skill in the field of alchemy was at too high a level, one which he was only able to admire and look up to from afar. To beco the other’s disciple was indeed too much to hope for.

Any was dumbstruck that Darius had actually refused!

He refused!

This person was an actual low-level Tier-2 Grade alchemist, and as long as Gabriel Jones agreed, even the Dragon City Generals would fall over themselves to et him, and maybe would even gift him with a their daughter’s hand in marriage. However, Dariushad actually refused him without much consideration!

It should be known that the Immortal Pavilion was bound to face enemies in the future, especially if word that a cultivation room gave enlightnt spread out. Any wouldn’t even dare think what kind of people will show at Dariu’s doorsteps asking him to handover the cultivation rooms.

No matter Darius cultivation, she didn’t believe he was strong enough to deter the generals and the strong experts, or else he wouldn’t be in this corner of the world.

Yet despite all of these risks, Darius casually refused as though he didn’t care about having the backing of a Tier-2 alchemist, as though his re existence was a burden instead of a deterent to other forces.

This guy... was really incomprehensible.

"However, if you encounter any trouble with understanding sothing, you can still co to the Immortal Pavilion to look for whenever you like," Darius suddenly said.

"Many thanks, Grandmaster, many thanks, Grandmaster!" Gabriel Jones repeatedly raised his clasped hands in Darius’s direction, his face revealing the utter joy he was feeling.
