Selina gulped involuntarily. "You’re not going to force to sell my soul or sothing for power, right?"
Mater flicked his claw. "Darling. Selling your soul isn’t worth that much. Bring him out!"
Crow dragged the Crimson Hood to Selina.
"Chaos is not nurturing, nor is it ant to be. There is one thing that you must understand.
For any Chaos User, they grow more powerful by devouring their prey. Witches, Mages, Berserkers... Even Psychics. They grow their power by taking it from another.
This is not advice, but the truth. Chaos Users consu to grow."
"But... I’ve never heard of soone like that before. Even for Psychics."
Mater grinned. "That’s because you have not learned the way of your people yet. Dr. Avaline arranged for you a college program, yeah? Soon you will know.
Believe , Chaos is all the sa. No matter what they call it."
Selina took a deep breath in. She looked down upon the half alive man on the ground.
The Crimson Hood put his hands together and lowered his head.
"Please, Miss. Please... Let go... I won’t tell anyone."
Selina’s pupils dilated. She had been given a choice by her cat. A choice that she would never recover from.
A gateway to darkness.
Mater climbed onto her shoulder. He had plenty of Chaos Spheres in the mont so he didn’t care about wasting magic anymore.
He used Chaos to temporarily gain the ability to speak human tongue.
His deep dark voice whispered into Selina’s ear.
"What are you waiting for, my dear? Don’t you want to learn what happened to your parents? Don’t you want to avenge them? Don’t you want it all?"
He spoke low and slow.
"You can take it all. No one can stop you."
Selina’s eyes focused into the man. "What do I need to do?"
"Hehehehehehehehehehehe." The black cat snickered.
The Crimson Hood crawled away slowly. Crow had broken every bone in his body. He was slower than a snail. He felt excruciating pain with every movent. But again, he tried to escape.
The Crimson Hood cried out. "HELP! SAVE ! SAVE MY SOUL!"
The black cat put a paw on Selina’s head. "Use your Chaos Singularity. Feel it. Taste it hunger. And it will show you how."
Selina’s eyelids fluttered. She closed her eyes.
The dark singularity inside her head squird. It was starving. It needed food. It wanted to eat.
Selina felt the hunger in her stomach. She opened her mouth slightly. The pretty little mouth flooded out Chaos.
It sward the cultist leader and took him apart. All of the Chaos inside him were breaking down one by one.
He begged. He scread. And he cried.
Then he died. Leaving behind nothing but a pile of ash.
Selina’s Psycho Force Capacity was expanded even further. Along with it was her control over her singularity, or as Dr. Avaline called it, Supernatural Conversion Rate.
Selina licked her lips. Chaos had a taste. It tasted like the sweetest most delicious food she ever had.
The goth girl opened her eyes. Her dark eyes were flooded with Chaos for a few seconds before returning to normal.
"I feel more powerful."
"Oh, yes you are, my dear. Much more than before." That cat’s deep voice echoed again.
Selina turned to the cat and pushed her forehead to his forehead.
"Thank you."
"You’re welco, my queen."
The scenery felt silent for a mont. Aurora and Crow turned their back to them, letting their Master have his private mont.
"But, hey! You can talk! Why did you just talk to from the beginning?" Selina said.
"Eh... Talking costs a lot of Chaos. Without spells, directly breaking the rules of reality is too expensive. I won’t be talking after this."
"Never?!" Selina looked at the black cat with her big glimring eyes.
"Okay, fine. I can talk sotis."
Mater stopped using Chaos to directly affect his throat. His noise returned to the usual squeaky ow of a cat.
"Let’s clean this place up. Don’t leave any evidence."
Aurora and Crow bowed their heads. "As you wish, Master!"
The pair returned to the motel afterwards. It was almost four in the morning when they reached their room. Selina flopped on the bed and fell asleep instantly.
"How full is your Chaos Well?" Mater asked Aurora.
"More than half, Master. I didn’t use that much effort facing the Red Keepers."
She used quite a lot of spells. But didn’t use her ultimate spell even once so she still had a lot of Chaos left.
Aurora used the two Chaos Spheres that Mater had given her previously to replenish. The black cat gave her another two Spheres as a contingency.
Crow then turned into a big vulture for Mater to climb onto his back.
"I’ll be finding a quiet place to level up. Protect Selina while I’m gone."
"I will protect her with all my life, Master."
The cat nodded. He owed and pointed to the far distance. Crow flapped his wings and took off to the sky.
Creating a complete Chaos Circuit would cause quite a scene. There were only two Psychics in Ines Sota. Selina and Sheriff Carter. Maybe even a few more hidden ones.
If Mater completed his Circuit here, Selina would probably attract attention from the governnt. So Mater used Crow to fly sowhere else.
He flew into the Onoke Swamp to level up. If soone suspected, Selina could just tell them that it was the wraith. After all, at that ti, she was in the motel. The caras in the motel could also prove that.
Crow landed on a branch of a tall tree to let Mater climb down from his back.
"Guard the area, Crow. Kill anything that cos close."
"Will do, Master."
Crow turned back into a crow and turned invisible. He went to the sky and scouted the area.
The black cat stretched its body.
"Now. Co to , my Chaos Circuit. I have been waiting for you for a while!"
