Husband?
The caller ID shows it’s my husband?
Since when did she have such a person in her mobile phone?
Jane Sampson’s first reaction was that it was a scam call.
Just like now, many fraudsters disguise their phone numbers as 10086 to scam people, it seems that fraudsters feel the old tricks are no longer effective, so they have set the scam calls to appear as ’husband’ to carry out their scams.
Jane Sampson rejected the call without a second thought and dragged the number into the blacklist, conveniently labeling it as a scam call.
After doing this, Jane Sampson muttered with relief, "Scamrs are really clever, pretending to be the husband and then coming up with so reason to get the wife to transfer money—it’s hard to guard against."
Once in the car, Jane Sampson placed her mobile phone on the passenger seat, started the car, and left the residential community.
anwhile, Jas Black, with his eyebrows tightly furrowed, listened to the phone issuing one busy signal after another, either unable to connect or receiving notifications that the call couldn’t go through.
He hadn’t understood the last ti, but this ti Jas Black had learned from experience, so had Jane Sampson blacklisted him again?
To verify this suspicion, Jas Black returned to the house with a dark face. Seeing Peter Gingery playing a ga on his phone, he snatched the phone away, exited the ga, and dialed that not-so-difficult-to-rember number directly.
Looking at the screen that displayed "Princess Egg-Yolk," Jas Black’s gaze swept over Peter Gingery’s face.
No sooner had the call been made than the phone started ringing, no longer giving notifications of being unable to connect or engaged lines.
The phone rang several tis before Jane Sampson parked her car on the roadside, glanced at the caller ID, and picked up the call, "Hello."
"Why did you blacklist my number again?"
Jas Black didn’t say a word more, directly asking the question that was burning like fire in his heart.
"Damn!" Peter Gingery wasn’t the slightest bit angry about his ga being interrupted, and hearing Jas Black’s words made his eyes almost pop out of his head.
Jane Sampson had so guts, actually blacklisting his Brother Jas Black’s number again?
On the other end, feeling relaxed and in good spirits as she picked up what she thought was Peter Gingery’s call, Jane Sampson heard Jas Black’s nacingly somber interrogation from the phone, and her internal expletives weren’t any less intense than Peter Gingery’s.
How could it be Jas Black?
Wait a minute!
What did he just say?
"I blacklisted your number?" Jane Sampson was bewildered, "No, why would I blacklist you for no reason?"
She had indeed blacklisted him once before, but wasn’t he the one who had removed himself from the blacklist later?
Since then, Jas Black hadn’t bothered her, so she hadn’t done anything like blacklisting him again.
Even though part of her honestly wished Jas Black would stay on her blacklist for a lifeti, was that possible?
After all, they were not yet divorced.
"I called you two minutes ago and it was either busy or the call couldn’t go through. When I called you from Peter Gingery’s phone it connected imdiately. You’re saying you didn’t blacklist ?" Jas Black scoffed coldly, "Jane Sampson, I may not be as absorbed in playing gas or on my mobile phone as you are, but I, Jas Black, am not a fool, understand?"
Understand—it was a sarcastic rhetorical question, and Jane Sampson instantly realized that Jas Black was truly angry.
Jane Sampson hurriedly explained, "Jas, I swear, I really didn’t blacklist you. Let think about what happened two minutes ago..."
Jane Sampson seriously thought for a few seconds, then said, "Two minutes ago, a scam call was made to , marked as ’husband.’ I blacklisted that number on impulse. Could it be that you happened to call at the sa ti as that scam call, so it showed as busy on your end?"
