"Let’s go and ask her. It’s one thing to take advantage of you, but why push you out too?" Coco Edwards just couldn’t swallow that indignation.
"I can’t be bothered," Jane Sampson shook her head, "I don’t even want to exchange a word with such a two-faced, venomous person. Even if I asked, I doubt her answer would make feel any better. So, what’s the point?"
Jane just sat there, refusing to budge no matter how much Coco tugged and pulled, dead set on not moving.
"Forget it, I understand you," Coco gave up after a while, feeling deflated. "I’m this angry, I can only imagine how you feel."
Seeing Jane simply nod her head with a slump, Coco asked again, "So what do you plan to do? Just let her keep jumping around in front of you? How can soone like that still have the face to co crying to you in the makeup room this morning, begging you?"
"No, the more we talk about it, the angrier I get," Coco said, fanning the air beside her ear with her hand. "With my temper, the more I think about it, the greater my rage grows."
"Jas Black said he’d handle it. I didn’t ask how he planned to do it, but I trust him. He won’t let suffer any wrongs." Jane didn’t even feel like dealing with it herself.
She was just overwheld with frustration, both in her forehead and in her heart.
From childhood, Jane didn’t have many friends, but those she called friends were very close to her. People like Thomas Lancaster, Yvette Quick, Old Austen were her friends.
After her rebirth, she added quite a few people to that circle, yet, Mona Calm eventually didn’t belong there. "Since it’s in the hands of your man, then I’m relieved," Coco nodded her head. "With his protective and indulgent nature, he’ll definitely not let you be at a loss."
So, Coco was truly relieved.
Jane thought Jas would need so ti to deal with this matter, but unexpectedly, right after lunch, Jas Chip ca to find Jane alone.
He didn’t beat around the bush, sitting down on a chair next to her, opening directly, "Your husband just called , saying to replace Mona Calm. Do you agree?"
"Our little Jane must agree, why wouldn’t she?" Coco said with glee upon hearing this, "Just the sight of her in the crew makes my eyes and heart ache with the thought of murder."
"Mona has already shot a lot of scenes with you. If we replace her now, you’ll have to work much harder later on. For so scenes, we can use post-production to change the faces, we won’t need to reshoot, but for others that we can’t edit, we’ll have to refilm when the new actor arrives." Jas Chip was essentially informing Jane that if they were to replace soone now, she should brace for a few days of back-to-back busy work like a dog.
"Director, let’s replace her," Jane said without hesitation, speaking up. "It’s just more trouble for the director. I feel sowhat guilty that we can’t use what we’ve already shot."
"Hey, no need to feel guilty. The money for this cos from your husband," Jas Chip waved his hand with a comforting smile. "Alright, since you agree, we’ll make the change. But before I talk to Mona about this, may I ask why the sudden decision to replace her?"
"Because back in the mountain village, the person who pushed was her," Jane didn’t cover up for Mona, so she revealed the truth to Jas Chip. "As such, I can’t stand being in the sa film crew as her."
Jas Chip’s expression changed instantly; he had thought maybe it was just so petty squabble between won, soone being a little too petulant and offending another.
