Jas Chip never expected that the reason he replaced Jane Sampson with Mona Calm was because of this.
Right then, without another word, he stood up, "I’ll have soone tell her right away to pack her stuff and get lost."
Back in the mountain village, Jas had said that if this matter ca to light, no matter who the person was, he wouldn’t say a word, and would have them thrown out of the film crew.
So, he did what he said.
After finishing his sentence, Jas turned around and left.
Any shred of guilt he had felt towards the young girl who had been working and studying hard, only to be forced to leave the film crew partway due to so other issue, suddenly vanished.
In Jas’s heart was just one sentence, kicking her out of the film crew was letting her off easy!
She brought this upon herself, it’s her own fault, she deserves it!
Jas didn’t go to find Mona Calm himself. He simply called his assistant to pass on the ssage.
So, after lunch, Mona was called by Jas’s assistant into a corner, and when she saw the assistant taking out a red envelope for her, she was stunned.
"Mona, the director asked to relay a ssage to you, you can go back to the hotel this afternoon to pack up and leave. Your role will be recast, and soone else will reshoot it," the assistant said.
Jas’s assistant didn’t understand why such a big change was happening, but he saw the shock on the young girl’s face, followed by her eyes slowly reddening.
He was afraid of seeing girls cry, so he quickly stuffed the red envelope into Mona’s hand and said, "The director said this is your salary for the past few days, take it."
After saying this, the tall boy turned and quickly ran off.
Soon after, in just a little while, the entire crew knew that Mona, the minor role, had been replaced.
The entire crew implicitly guessed, was it Hibiscus Wood’s doing that forced Mona out?
After all, Mona had been bullied by Hibiscus Wood before being kicked out of the crew.
While Mona was packing her things, Jane Sampson had already started filming. Later, she heard from other personnel that Mona had tried to find her to say goodbye before leaving. But at that ti, there was no one at her spot, not even Coco Edwards was there.
When Jane Sampson heard this, a sneer tugged at the corner of her mouth—a mocking smile she scarcely concealed.
"She has so nerve, showing up to say goodbye?" Coco said outright in front of the ssenger, spitting out, "I’ve seen shaless people, but never one this shaless. Two-faced and utterly hypocritical, she exploits others on one hand and pretends to be pitiable on the other. Not even a green tea bitch has her skills!"
The ssenger, upon hearing this, blanched and quickly ran off, fearful of knowing too much and potentially being the next one to be thrown out.
To make ti for reshooting her scenes later, Jane couldn’t afford to be even slightly distracted that afternoon, ensuring that each scene she perford was done in one take.
Her script for the afternoon was packed, leaving her nearly no ti even to catch a breath.
That afternoon, twitter was abuzz, and Jane was completely oblivious to it.
But the expression on Coco Edwards, who sat nearby, could only be described as incredibly animated and varied—one mont she was so angry that she didn’t care about her image, slamming the table and cursing, another mont she was holding her mobile phone and laughing heartily.
If it weren’t for the resting personnel next to her also browsing on their phones, aware of what Coco was laughing at and angry about, anyone else might have thought Coco had lost her mind.
