As he took the knife, she sat by his side, tapping her finger on the green figure and looking at him with hopeful eyes, giggling with unmistakable intent.
She wanted that green figure.
Like the one dressed in a military uniform just like him.
Jas Black gave a soft chuckle and did as she wished, cutting that piece of cake for her. As Jane Sampson held the cake, beaming so broadly her eyes nearly vanished, the urge to kiss her grew even stronger within him.
And she seed completely unaware of it.
"I’m telling you, though the cake I made might not look great, it’s delicious." Jane handed him a spoonful near his lips, "Taste it, see if it’s not."
Jas accepted it, gently biting down. After swallowing, he spoke in a deep voice, "It is delicious."
At that, he paused, then added, "As sweet as you."
Jane’s hand visibly trembled at Jas’s words, and then he could see her cheeks turn red.
"You have so too." Jane cleared her hands and nudged Jas’s arm, knowing he probably skipped dinner just like she had.
The plan for tonight had so discrepancies, so Jane turned to Jas and said, "We’ll go ho tomorrow morning, and I’ll make you sothing delicious at ho tomorrow. I’ve asked the director for a day and a half off; we won’t return to the film crew until noon the day after tomorrow."
Jas’s eyebrows lifted gently.
Hmm, that ant she would belong to him for the whole day tomorrow.
The two who hadn’t eaten dinner were making tonight’s al and late-night snack out of this cake. After eating a few bites, Jas went to the kitchen to pour juice for both of them.
Throughout, Jane leaned against Jas like a boneless creature. After finishing the cake on the plate, she threw the fork in the trash can, stood up, and said, "It’s getting late, I’m going to take a bath first."
Without giving Jas a chance to speak, she suddenly dabbed so cream on her finger and sared it across his face, wishing him a happy birthday before scampering off to the bedroom, laughing rrily and clutching her purse like soone fleeing for their life.
Jas was stunned for a mont before he ca back to his senses.
Heh, she was really becoming quite bold.
Jas silently laughed, curling the corners of his mouth, then took a tissue and leisurely wiped the cream off his face.
Having her by his side felt as lively as having a whole new world around him.
While Jane was in the bathroom, Jas tidied up the remaining cake into the refrigerator and washed his face in the kitchen before returning to the bedroom.
After tidying up the living room, Jas returned to the bedroom, changed into his pajamas, grabbed a book, and lay on the bed waiting for Jane.
From the bathroom ca the occasional sound of water, along with her humming a tune.
Evidently, Jane was in a good mood.
This only made Jas’s already good mood even better.
She ca not because he forced her, but because she wanted to, happily so.
Tonight, Jane spent more ti in the bathroom than usual, but Jas patiently waited in the bedroom. Over half an hour later, Jane erged wrapped in his bathrobe.
"Forgot to bring your pajamas with you?" Jas got off the bed and eyed the bathrobe on Jane, thinking she might have forgotten to grab her pajamas earlier and walked to the wardrobe intending to get a set for her.
Yet, as he approached the wardrobe, he abruptly realized that right now, beneath his bathrobe, she was wearing nothing at all?
