Jas Black said this with a tone of disdain, "And, Julie Sampton can never marry into the Lancaster Family. Please convey to Mr. Sampton, Madam Sampton, and Miss Sampton to stop their wishful thinking."
After saying this, Jas Black hung up the phone.
Nowadays, there are only three people in the house who can get through to Jane Sampson’s phone.
Bright Sampton, Grandpa Sampton, and Granny Sampton.
Everyone else’s calls were unconditionally forwarded to Jas Black’s mobile phone.
Although Jas Black hadn’t deliberately stationed people to watch over the Sampton Family, he was well aware of what Julie and her mother had been doing recently.
There was truly no need for him to pay special attention, as he had been in contact with Thomas Lancaster lately.
Thomas Lancaster ntioned to Jas Black that he had seen Julie at the doorway to the great courtyard.
Thomas Lancaster was no fool; it was quite obvious what Julie intended to do.
So, to avoid Julie, Thomas had not returned to the great courtyard recently. The location of the new house he had bought in Capital Province was known only to his parents and a few others including Jas Black, which ant Julie had been waiting in vain for Thomas.
After hanging up the phone, Jas Black returned directly to the bedroom. He had intended to get straight back into bed, but he rembered that he had just co in from the terrace and his body was a bit icy, so he stood nearby for a while, waiting until he ward up before getting back into bed.
However, Jas Black was sowhat surprised that the person who had been sleeping with eyes closed was now wide awake.
"Did I wake you?" Jas Black asked softly.
Could it be that he was too loud when making a call on the terrace?
"No," Jane Sampson shook her head gently, instinctively moving closer into Jas Black’s arms, "The mont you got up, I felt an emptiness by my side and just woke up suddenly."
Jane Sampson finally couldn’t help but ask, "Who called you? Is it the guard team that has sothing urgent, and you need to go back? Or do you have a mission and are going out for tasks?"
"No," Jas Black shook his head, "I just went out to answer a call from Thomas. He invited us to have a drink, but I told him you were asleep and that I wanted to stay with you, so I’m not going."
"He’s drinking again?" Jane Sampson’s eyes widened, "He’s just returned, yet he’s at the pub every day. Does he still want to be a role model? Wait until he officially starts teaching and steps onto the stage, boy oh boy, heavens, they’re all people he’s drunk with, how awkward."
Jane Sampson’s tone amused Jas Black, "You worry too much. If it’s awkward, that’s his problem. You, close your eyes and sleep well."
Jane Sampson uttered an "Okay", then suddenly raised her head and kissed Jas Black’s chin, letting out a soft laugh, "Good night."
Jas Black was stunned by this unexpected action. It took him a mont to recover, by which ti Jane had closed her eyes and seed to fall back asleep.
This ti after falling asleep, Jane did not wake up again.
Not until the next morning, when Coco Edwards was knocking on the door to urge Jane Sampson to get up, did Jane slowly open her eyes.
The first thing she did upon opening her eyes was to reach out and touch the person beside her. After feeling Jas Black, she slowly sat up and with a soft voice, responded to Coco outside, "Just a mont! You go back to your room and wait for ."
The knocking outside stopped, and Jane promptly lay back down, cuddling Jas Black around his waist and legs with all four limbs like a koala, "What if I don’t want to get up?"
"Then just keep sleeping," Jas Black replied. "I’ll call Jas Chip to ask for half a day off for you."
