Jane Sampson had already reviewed the information on these two people earlier; they were assistants that Rock Bell had planned to add to her team, so she recognized at a glance that the short-haired one was Lucy and the long-haired one was Harry.
"Here you are, perfect timing. Let’s go together to the ward next door to see how Coco’s doing." Jane awoke today as energetic as if nothing had happened, got out of bed, and even took a stroll in front of the hospital while the staff made their rounds.
However, just to be on the safe side, the hospital insisted that Jane must be hospitalized for a full 48 hours, which ans she has to wait until tomorrow before she can be discharged.
"Alright." Harry nodded, originally wanting to ask if Jane needed a wheelchair to go over, but before he could vocalize the offer, Jane had already taken Jas Carter’s hand and headed out.
It seed like there was no need for a wheelchair; the only hope was that he and Lucy could keep up.
Coco Edwards’s ward was right next to Jane’s, but compared to the bustle in Jane’s room today, Coco’s was much quieter.
At this ti, two caregivers were in Coco’s ward, and Coco herself was awake. Hearing Jane’s voice at the doorway, Coco got excited for a mont, not daring to move her body, but quickly turned her head toward the door.
"Little Jane." Coco called out to Jane with a breathless voice but sounded very happy.
Even though Coco knew Jane was fine, she hadn’t been able to rest easy without seeing Jane with her own eyes, always feeling that she hadn’t protected her well enough and hadn’t fulfilled her duties as an assistant.
"Don’t move around so much." Jane rushed in and sat on the edge of Coco’s sickbed. "I wanted to co see you yesterday, but everyone wouldn’t let . How about you? Does it hurt a lot? It must be very uncomfortable, isn’t it?"
Coco’s condition wasn’t particularly good; at least she looked pale and not very spirited as she lay in the bed.
"It’s not too bad." Coco reassured herself in her mind, lying in the bed. No matter how physically uncomfortable she was, it felt better than being in the car. "By the way, how is everyone from our film crew doing?"
Jas Chip had co to visit Coco while she was still unconscious, so Coco had yet to learn about the condition of the other crew mbers.
"Two serious injuries, but both were rescued, thankfully, with no loss of human life," Jane conveyed. According to Jas Chip, one underwent chest surgery and the other had brain surgery. The latter was the most serious case, having had a section of his skull nearly the size of a palm removed. She heard that the individual who had brain surgery has not yet woken up and is still in a coma.
These past few days, Jas Chip had been as busy as a spinning top, running back and forth between the police station and the hospital; filming work in Cloud Province had co to an absolute halt.
"It’s good there was no loss of life." Coco felt relieved. Everyone had been colleagues for a while in the sa film crew; if there had been any tragic news, it would have been hard on anyone.
"The director is already in the process of terminating the contracts with the hotel and tourism zone. Our crew will file a big lawsuit against the hotel; after all, the whole incident started because of the hotel’s security lapses, which led to multiple thefts in our crew," Jane spoke slowly to Coco, recounting what Jas Chip had told her over these few days.
"Terminating the contract with the tourism zone is more tricky. According to the director, we might have to pay so penalty, but it won’t be much. Once things are settled here, the crew will move directly to King Town to complete the pending scenes there, and then we’ll look for new suitable scenic spots nearby to continue filming."
