Jas Black instinctively looked up toward the room upstairs, thought about it, and shook his head, "Not for now."
After talking downstairs with Brooke Black for a while, Jas Black returned to the room upstairs. As he entered the room, Jane Sampson had just co out from the bathroom, her hair perfectly blow-dried.
Seeing Jas enter, she threw the towel in her hand back into the dirty clothes basket in the bathroom and then hurried over to him, circling him with great diligence, "The room is warm, can I hang up your coat?"
That diligence did not seem at all like Jane Sampson’s usual deanor.
Jas did not believe that a short separation could have made Jane miss him with such fervor.
"Spit it out," Jas sidestepped Jane and hung the trench coat on the coat rack himself.
"No, nothing~" Jane chuckled, trailing him like a little shadow. He moved, she followed, her eyes squinted smilingly, at first glance resembling a little fox.
After being followed around by Jane for two circuits, Jas felt it strange. How could there be nothing?
Jas simply picked up the restless little tail behind him and placed her on the bed. He spoke once more, this ti with just one word, "Speak."
Only giving her one word ant it was her last chance—speak now, or lose the opportunity.
Jane pursed her lips and then slowly reached out her soft, pale palm toward Jas, "Where is my gift~ You promised to bring a gift when you returned from King Town."
Jas snorted. This was indeed the wife he had married.
"No gifts," Jas slapped her palm and then climbed straight into bed.
How could there be no gift?
Jane simply did not believe it, because Jas was not soone who went back on his word.
But why wouldn’t he give it to her?
"Then can I look for it myself?" Jane asked tentatively.
"If you can find it, I’ll buy you another gift tomorrow," Jas confidently replied.
That answer was a bit of a blow to her pride.
Jane pursed her lips. Was he so certain she wouldn’t find it?
"Then I’ll take it as your agreent for to look for it myself." Jane’s interest was imdiately piqued, and she scanned the room, first going through Jas’s small luggage.
As it turned out, soone so sure she would not find it obviously wouldn’t leave his stuff there.
Next, Jane’s gaze quickly shifted to Jas’s trench coat.
That was the coat he had just been wearing.
Maybe in the coat pocket?
Jane walked over, one hand for each pocket, and probed into the pockets of his trench coat.
"Ah! Jas, I think I found it!" Jane called out eagerly, showing off to Jas without even looking at the square box she had pulled from the coat pocket, "Look, I found it in your coat pocket."
Jas’s eyelids lifted from the book, his gaze landing on the box in Jane’s hand, laughing with a aningful depth.
Jane, laughed into a state of guilt by his reaction, hurriedly looked down at the item in her hand.
A square box, not large, smaller than her palm.
With colorful outer packaging and a plastic seal, all the text in English.
Jane took it in hand, muttering, "Luckily I did well in school, and my English isn’t bad, otherwise, I wouldn’t understand what you bought."
After muttering to herself, Jane quickly translated the words on the box.
"Contraception..." Jane tossed the box at the bed as if she had thrown a hot potato.
