Old Master Black’s complaints were suddenly cut short by Jas Black’s driving speed, and after a while, he cursed, "Needs a good talking-to!"
About 20 minutes after Jas Black had left, Aunt called for lunch. Old Master Black didn’t wait for Jas and went upstairs to call Jane Sampson back from her room.
At the doorway, seeing Jane’s mobile phone lying by the room door, Old Master Black, ever sharp, guessed right away that the couple must have had a fight.
So, was Jas Black, who had rushed out just now to buy so stuff and co back, actually trying to find a way to coax his wife?
"Jane, co out for lunch," Old Master Black knocked on the door, "Jas isn’t ho, he went out. You can stay mad at him, but we still need to eat. After lunch, you can continue being mad in your room. If you are still upset by the evening, you can have him sleep in the guest room, or even in the study."
Next second, the room door imdiately opened, and Jane peeked out half her head, sneakily asking, "Is he really not ho?"
"He just left, not sure what he’s up to. He went driving, probably won’t be back soon," replied Old Master Black with a smile, raising his hand to ruffle Jane’s hair, "Co out for lunch; Aunt made your favorite dishes."
Reassured by Old Master Black’s words, Jane imdiately leaped out of the doorway, giggling and holding Old Master Black’s hand as they went downstairs. She even started discussing with him, "When Jas cos back, and if he asks whether I had lunch, can you and Aunt tell him I didn’t?"
"Of course, why not?" Old Master Black replied. "After dinner tonight, I’ll even help you distract him, let you finish eating before he cos back, and then lie to him that you didn’t eat. That will make his heart ache for upsetting you. He deserves a good scolding then."
"Grandpa, you really are the best grandpa in the world." Jane rubbed her head against Old Master Black’s shoulder affectionately.
After finishing their plotting, the young and the old happily sat down at the dining table for their al. However, none of them expected Jas to return so quickly. When Jane heard noises from the courtyard and thought of running, it was clearly too late. After all, her tableware was still on the table, and it couldn’t be cleared away that fast.
"Grandpa, it all depends on our acting skills!" Jane and Old Master Black exchanged a glance, "I’ll just pretend to stay mad and not eat with him. When he cos in, I’ll just drop my chopsticks, and you..."
Before Jane could finish instructing, Jas walked in, carrying sothing unknown in his hand.
After entering, seeing that lunch had already started, Jas went straight over to sit next to Jane without a word.
Jane and Old Master Black exchanged a glance, and imdiately, with a clatter, Jane slamd down her chopsticks, just about to get up when a irresistibly delicious scent wafted over.
With a flicker in her eyes, Jane sneakily turned her head and saw that Jas had opened what he brought.
It was a steaming pot of spicy crayfish.
So aromatic that Jane felt even if she went back to her room, she would still be able to sll it.
"Can’t even hold your chopsticks steadily when you’re this happy?" Jas, pretending to only just notice Jane had stood up, pulled her back down to her seat, "Sit down, I’ll peel them for you."
As usual, the not-so-principled Jane swallowed her saliva without much resistance.
