Jane rolled her eyes, casually lifting her hand to teasingly hook Jas’s chin. "Naive. Do you honestly think Jillian Carter magically found her destined true love in just a few days? Her marriage is just a ploy to shake off the Carter Family. She’ll inevitably show up again."
Jas glanced at Jane, then at the hand resting below his chin, before calmly shifting his face away. "Wherever she pops up, we’ll just send her right back there."
After saying that, Jas pressed Jane firmly into the chair with a serious look and said, "Eat."
Her recent antics had nearly made it hard for him to keep his composure.
"Hmm~" Jane squinted and grinned, not taking a single bite yet but already showering praise. "Delicious, delicious, so good."
Jas ignored Jane, sat down beside her, handed her the tableware, and then lowered his head to eat the noodles in his bowl.
Sitting next to him, Jane didn’t notice the faint upward curve at the corner of his lips when he lowered his head.
