Olivia Chip is a person with insight and brains. As soon as she arrived at the film crew as the new makeup artist, she noticed that this makeup artist’s attire was no ordinary fare. When she heard that Jane had switched from the TV station to here with such capriciousness that one could change workplaces on a whim, it was likely she wasn’t just any makeup artist, but probably a willful rich second generation unbound by parental restrictions.
"I’m her devoted water army for free!" Quincy Forest loosened her grip on Jane Sampson, who was shaking with laughter, "When I was small and too lazy to practice piano, my mother would say, ’Look at Jane Sampson, she has won so many prestigious awards, plays the piano so brilliantly, does so well in her studies, and is still so hardworking. Why can’t she be my daughter, and you soone else’s?’"
The more Quincy talked, the more she found it funny: "A few days ago when I went back ho and told my mother that I had done the makeup for her daughter who was ’lost out there’, my mother got so excited. She couldn’t believe I didn’t ask for an autograph or a group photo. When she learned I ca away with nothing, she kicked out the ho doorway again."
Jane Sampson wasn’t sure how much exaggeration was in Quincy’s words, but indeed, her story successfully made everyone burst into hearty laughter.
However, as Jane was listening and laughing, she suddenly felt that the hard work she had put in before had, perhaps, not been without reward.
So people might not see her hard work and excellence, but others did.
Although at that ti, her desperate efforts were for nothing more than a few additional portions of attention and care from the person she yearned for in her heart, from beginning to end, she still did not get what she wanted.
The show was broadcast on ti in the evening, and Jane Sampson went back to hotel early to snuggle up in the bed with her pad to watch it. As this was the first variety show she had participated in properly, she watched it with great interest even though she knew the whole process already.
Her mobile phone stayed on Twitter, occasionally keeping an eye on the netizens’ responses and comnts about the show. Before the show ended, Rock Bell made the call.
"You’ve been scrolling through Twitter, right?" Although Jane’s new Twitter account was managed by Rock Bell, Bell knew that Jane also had a personal account and was in the habit of entertaining herself by browsing Twitter.
"I’m watching~" Jane’s voice was languid, and then she said, "Sister Tin, are you calling at this ti because you’re worried that the comnts on Twitter might affect my mood?"
"You’re quite clever," Rock Bell complinted Jane.
The program was nearing its end, and the ga segnt had already concluded. After Sophie Young and William Rivers, the pair of lovers, were eliminated from the ga due to a rhythm set by Jane, part of their crazy fans went nuts. They began cursing Jane in the comnt section, with so even going directly to Jane’s verified Twitter account to hurl abuse.
The things they said were as vile as can be, with Three Character Classics that included body parts, cursing her ancestors, and personal attacks—these people spared none of the most venomous words in the world for Jane Sampson.
"I contacted both Sophie Young and William Rivers’ agents, initially planning to have them post on Twitter to speak up for you, but their agents declined with the excuse that it’s the fans’ freedom. So, you might be cursed by these crazies for a while. I was worried that facing this sort of thing for the first ti might affect your mood, and that’s why I thought of making a call to comfort you," said Rock Bell, feeling sowhat helpless and yet also a bit angry.
A single tweet was rely a trivial act, but apparently, Sophie Young and William Rivers planned to step on Jane just to add a new tag to their own personas.
