Just that glance, the effort to open her eyes and look, Jane Sampson spent a long, long ti convincing herself.
Such a trivial little thing, yet it seed that it took a huge, huge amount of determination to accomplish it.
Jane Sampson didn’t know how to describe it, when she opened her eyes and saw that familiar figure, at that mont, the emotions in her heartland, how could she possibly describe them?
Like a person awaiting demise on an isle of solitude, suddenly seeing a ship approaching across the sea, and the person on the ship just in ti discovers its nearly expired condition.
"Jas Black~"
Jane Sampson used all her strength, and only managed to call out his na.
She collapsed in his arms, her tears poured like bean-sized rain, unstoppable.
"Jas Black~"
She called out to him over and over, her tears blurred her vision, she lacked the strength to raise her hand to wipe them away, yet she didn’t want to be unable to see his face, so she buried her head in his chest and rubbed, wiping away the tears, then continued to look up at him.
But soon after, her tear-filled eyes blurred her vision once more, once more making her unable to see him clearly.
She called out to him again and again, repeating the actions of lowering and raising her head, stubbornly refusing to pause for even a mont, as if afraid that if she stopped, she would suddenly realize that all this was a dream.
Like the young girl who struck all the matches, in the end she still had to face the cruel reality.
"I’m here." Jas Black tightly held Jane Sampson, lowered his head, continuously kissing her eyes, her nose, and cheeks, kissing the tears on her face again and again.
"Jane, I’m here." Jas Black used all his patience to respond to her, "I’m sorry."
Sorry, he didn’t know when she suffered.
Sorry, despite promising to protect her, when she suffered, he was not by her side.
The sight of every wound on her hand was shocking, yet it was like being carved on his heart.
If possible, Jas Black wished he could take her suffering tis ten thousand.
"Jas Black." She cried softly, "I want to go ho, I miss my grandfather, my auntie, I miss Peter Gingery, I miss you so much~"
"I want to run, but I can’t run, I have no strength, Jas Black, am I so useless."
Jane Sampson knew the mute woman put dicine in the water she drank, but whenever she refused to drink, the mute woman forcefully poured it into her.
She tried to escape, as long as she could run out of this villa, she would be safe. In this luxury residence, if she encountered others, she could be rescued.
However, she used all her strength and only managed to roll off the bed, not even close to the window.
"I still hurt so much~" Jane Sampson moved her wounded arm, tears fell one by one, looking at Jas Black, feeling both pained and aggrieved, "My hand hurts so much, he carved on it with a knife, I thought I was going to die."
At that mont, she lay helplessly in the bed, watching the young man holding a knife, carving over and over on her arm. She hurt, but she was in so much pain she didn’t even have the strength to cry.
She lay there despairingly, her gaze fixed on her arm, one cut followed another, blood stained the skin of her arm and the sheet beneath it.
When she fainted, her eyes and brain were flooded with crimson.
At that mont, she really thought she was going to die.
"I know, I know." Jas Black’s voice choked, he held her, barely daring to touch her arm, "Hold on, you have to hold on."
Jas Black hardly dared to look at Jane Sampson’s tears, he held her and buried his face in her neck, "When we get ho, I’ll take you to see a doctor, just endure a bit longer, Jane, endure a bit longer."
