"This is Jas Black’s stuff. He braved the rain to co back last night, probably thought it was damp, so he didn’t bring it upstairs." Jane Sampson weighed the carry-on bag, it wasn’t heavy.
She then directly complained to Brooke Black, "He’s so irresponsible, he got injured and didn’t tell . Last night, he even ca back in the rain, and when he entered, his hair was still dripping water."
"Jas Black is back?" Brooke Black was incredulous, "In his room? Is the injury serious?"
"He said it’s not serious, I haven’t seen it yet, I’m not sure. He asked to co down to get him gauze and dicine, Auntie, co upstairs with to check it out. If the injury is serious, help take him to the hospital for treatnt." Jane Sampson said.
Brooke Black nodded and followed Jane Sampson upstairs.
While asking, "Did he co back at midnight last night? No wonder the carry-on bag is still wet. I slept well last night; when he entered, no one even knew."
As Jas Black ntioned, the injury was indeed not serious.
Jane Sampson removed the gauze soaked in blood and saw the situation inside.
It was about a five-centiter wound, stitched up a few tis; although it bled last night, fortunately, the wound did not rupture.
Following Jas Black’s instructions, Jane Sampson reapplied dicine to the wound, then cut new gauze to separate the wound from clothes, preventing infection and friction from affecting recovery.
Seeing there wasn’t much to worry about, Brooke Black felt relieved and continued sipping lemon water while leaning against the cabinet, watching Jane Sampson busy. At the sa ti, she asked Jas Black, "Are you going back to the guard team today, or can you rest for two days?"
"No need. I returned to the guard team imdiately after arriving in Capital Province yesterday; last night, I ca back from the guard team at midnight." Jas Black shook his head, answering while keeping his eyes lowered, looking at the careful hands around his waist.
Jane Sampson paused her movents, instinctively raising her head to look at him, and their gazes t.
Jane Sampson’s eyes contained a hint of unveiled amusent, very slight, yet Jas Black caught it.
She was happy to hear he didn’t have to return to the guard team today.
"Aren’t you silly?" Jas Black’s hand rubbed the head at his waist, "Didn’t I tell you before sleep last night?"
Brooke Black watched and felt her eyes hurt.
"You two take your ti, I’m going downstairs." Brooke Black shook her head, happily stepped out of their bedroom with a water cup.
Staying there, breakfast would probably be unnecessary.
After Brooke Black left, Jane Sampson responded to Jas Black, "You’re a big liar, your words aren’t very credible."
"I’ve never lied to you." Jas Black explained very earnestly, "I said it was a minor injury, and that’s what it is. You can’t be mad at over this."
"Bossy." Jane Sampson muttered under her breath.
Jas Black raised his eyebrows.
Hmm, hard to please.
Once Jane Sampson finished cleaning up the stuff, Jas Black resud speaking, asking Jane Sampson to sit beside him. He lifted her pajama sleeve to carefully examine her arm.
He hadn’t seen clearly last night because the light wasn’t good.
"The hand doesn’t look good anymore~" Jane Sampson was sowhat reluctant to show Jas Black, tried to pull back her hand, but couldn’t.
"No, it won’t." Jas Black gently put down her sleeve, "It will get better slowly."
Hearing those words from Jas Black, Jane Sampson suddenly burst out laughing, leaving Jas Black baffled, staring at her for several seconds.
"What’s so funny?" Jas Black was puzzled, previously a little upset about being called unattractive, but why did she suddenly laugh so happily?
"Not telling you." Jane Sampson stood up, left Jas Black behind, and went off to wash up.
