The lawyer’s voice wasn’t deliberately lowered, so with the window open, Jane Sampson and Jas Black could vaguely hear so of the conversation.
Even though it was fragnted, since Julie Sampson and Mother Sampson had previously warned the Black Family about Father Sampton eyeing her inheritance, Jane Sampson could piece together the gist of what she didn’t hear clearly.
Downstairs, Old Master Black didn’t even accept a business card and coldly showed the person out.
Through the iron gate, the lawyer was still trying to persuade Old Master Black, advising that Father Sampton was mindful of the relationship between the two families, so instead of directly taking the matter to court, he chose to handle it privately with the Black Family.
Old Master Black unceremoniously shut the door and called the Great General’s family back inside.
With a slam, he even closed the main gate.
"I’ve lived to this age, and it’s the first ti I’ve seen soone this shaless." Old Master Black was truly angered, "Really has the nerve to send a lawyer to the Black Family to talk. Why doesn’t he have the face to co and talk personally with the lawyer?"
Jane Sampson walked down with Jas Black, listening to Old Master Black curse her forr foster father. Jane Sampson didn’t feel anything was wrong.
Nor did she feel embarrassed.
On the contrary, she felt Old Master Black was right to curse him.
"It’s been such a long ti since he last ca to the Black Family. I thought he had the heart but not the courage to do such things. But it turns out I underestimated him." Jane Sampson walked to Old Master Black and patted his shoulder, comforting, "Grandpa, it’s not worth getting angry over such a person. After the press reception tomorrow at noon, there will be plenty for him to see."
"Little Jane is right, it’s not worth it." Old Master Black sighed, "I’m angry on behalf of your grandparents from the Sampton Family. If they were still in this world and saw what their son has beco, they would be so disappointed."
"Grandpa and Grandma had long been completely disappointed in him. A mother knows her child best, so perhaps Grandma guessed that he would be so desperate that he’d even throw face aside. That’s why, before she passed, she recorded that video and gave it to the lawyer to leave it for ."
Jane Sampson chuckled a bit, "Ever since Julie had the accident, all his actions made Grandma feel he was cold-hearted. Even now, he’s plotting to grab part of my inheritance from the Black Family, hoping to make a coback with it. For money, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do. But just wait until tomorrow, when he finds out that I’m still alive, he might truly be furious."
In Jane Sampson’s heart, Father Sampton was both greedy and foolish.
Back when she hadn’t completely cut ties with the Sampton Family, Father Sampson had already done many stupid things.
And now, there’s still no change.
The entire business district, whose arm could possibly twist the thick leg of the Black Family?
Even if he goes to court against the Black Family, and the law entitles him to a portion of her inheritance, so what if he gets so money from her inheritance.
Reaching the point of a lawsuit against the Black Family ans he’s thoroughly offended them.
In the shopping mall, for the Black Family to squash him would be no difficult task.
If the Black Family doesn’t give him a chance to make a coback, no matter how much money he has, he’ll end up bankrupt.
Moreover, Father Sampton never had much business acun or comrcial tactics to begin with.
Father Sampton’s issue was just a minor interlude, and during lunch at the dining table, Old Master Black briefly ntioned this matter to Brooke Black. Brooke Black and her husband just listened and let it pass, while Harper Black and the others didn’t even express an opinion.
