He felt that, if it weren’t for Jas Black sitting next to Jane Sampson, he could chat with Jane Sampson for another hour or half an hour.
But with Jas Black there, he feared that Jas’s eye daggers might pierce through the phone into his heart.
After hanging up, Jane Sampson stood up again, intending to lounge in the bedroom for a while, but as soon as she stood up, Jas called her.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"Back to the room," Jane pointed in the direction of the bedroom, uncertain about what Jas wanted her to do, she explained, "Going in to lie down for a bit?"
"The al is already ordered, it should arrive soon, don’t fall asleep," Jas then nodded, adding a reminder, "If you fall asleep and I wake you up, don’t be upset."
Unable to guarantee whether she’d fall asleep or not, and unable to ensure she wouldn’t be grumpy after being woken up, Jane Sampson, thinking it over carefully, sat back down next to Jas.
She patted his leg, took the newspaper off his knee, and found a comfortable position to lie down, using Jas’s thigh as a pillow, which was quite comfortable.
Seeing Jane like this, Jas took the blanket from beside and covered her chest, "Why don’t you nap for a bit? I’ll wake you when the al cos."
Jane shook her head, "Better to nap after eating, if I fall asleep now, waking up will feel like you’re facing an active volcano."
Jas was amused by Jane’s choice of words.
"Let’s just chat a bit, talking keeps you awake," Jane raised her arm and teased Jas’s hair.
"If you enjoy it, keep looking; in the afternoon, I’m going to get a haircut," Jas scratched his chin, "And I need to shave as well."
Jane smiled with curved eyes, because she liked looking, Jas endured feeling unattractive for ten more days.
"After lunch break, accompany out," Jas grabbed Jane’s hand and kissed it, "I’ve already given you the anniversary gift, when are you going to prepare mine?"
Jane’s breath was caught.
If Jas hadn’t yet ntioned it again, she probably would have completely forgotten about it.
She retrieved her hand, rubbed her face in distress.
"All our money was loaned to Alexander Forest, where do you have money to buy Grandeur?" Jane sternly glared at Jas, "Tell , you big fool, have you secretly stashed away money? You neither smoke nor drink nor play gas, what are you saving for? Are you raising demons?"
"Secret stash? Soone who can’t even figure out what assets they have isn’t qualified to ask about hidden money," Jas removed Jane’s hand from her face, if her face got rubbed away when it already had so little flesh, how could he kiss it?
"It’s raising a demon, bought a company for the demon," Jas explained earnestly, "Bought a company that’s now renad to JSY, the demon’s na is Jane Sampson, you know her."
Jane didn’t expect Jas would respond to her that way, that man, who should have sternly scolded her for talking nonsense, was no longer the man he used to be back then.
The more Jane thought about it, the more amused she was, she turned her face and leaned on Jas’s thigh, quietly laughing.
Two seconds later, her smile froze, realizing the direction was wrong, she quickly turned the other way.
"Lie down properly! Aren’t you worried about falling off?" Watching Jane flip left and right in big movents lying on his thigh, Jas quickly reached out to support her back.
