"It slls so good." Jane Sampson stuck out her tongue and made a goofy face like a child caught stealing snacks, then sat up straight.
Jas Black placed the bowl and chopsticks in front of Jane Sampson, looked at her right hand, thought for a mont, and replaced her chopsticks with a soup scoop.
"Thank you." Jane felt that if she didn’t say sothing soon, she might indeed freeze to death from the cold treatnt.
Jas Black still ignored Jane Sampson, simply sat down opposite her, and started picking up vegetables and eating his al without a care.
Jane was completely dumbfounded.
The main dish was braised noodles, the kind that you had to pick up with chopsticks, those southern braised noodles—was he doing this on purpose or not?
Holding the small soup spoon in her hand, Jane tapped the bowl of braised noodles and said in a soft voice, "Jas Black, I want to eat this."
The sll was so tempting, Jane was feeling both hungry and eager.
Seeing that Jas didn’t even lift his eyelids, Jane pouted unhappily and tapped the edge of the noodle bowl again, making a clanging noise.
When Jas still ignored her, Jane put the soup scoop back into the bowl and stretched her foot under the table, ready to kick Jas Black, who was eating his delicious al across from her.
However, Jas’s foot seed to have eyes of its own; as soon as her leg kicked out, his foot moved out of the way.
This ti, Jane was really left staring and fuming.
If he won’t pay attention, so be it!
Hmph!
Jane picked up the soup scoop again, trying to scoop up the braised noodles, but the scoop was too small—she only managed to get a spoonful of the soup.
What to do? So frustrating!
Especially since Jas Black was eating big mouthfuls as if nothing was wrong, this made Jane even more irritated.
Suddenly, Jane stood up, pushed her tableware to the edge nearest Jas, looked around, and then pushed the other dishes to the far edge out of his reach. Only after doing this did she walk around to Jas’s side and sit down, then she dragged the only dish of braised noodles he could reach over to herself.
"I want to eat this!" Jane pointed her finger at the braised noodles and repeated herself.
This ti Jas did react, but he only lifted his eyelids to give her a glance, then lowered his head to continue eating.
Jane was furious.
She didn’t want the bowl anymore, pushed it to the middle of the table, then took the whole bowl of braised noodles into her arms, and began to eat with a spoon, clutching the bowl.
One bite.
Indeed, it was delicious!
It tasted even better than it slled.
Jane didn’t know which restaurant Jas had ordered from, but she decided that next ti she was ho alone, she would order takeaway from this place.
Finally able to eat the noodles, Jane turned her head with a smug look to glance at the person beside her. Sure enough, Jas, who had been eating, had stopped and even laid his chopsticks on the table.
He looked at Jane, who was eating with such relish, and a few seconds later, suddenly stood up and went out to the balcony of the living room, closing the sliding door behind him.
Jas’s figure was obscured by the sliding door, and Jane suddenly couldn’t see him anymore. What had previously been a delicious bowl of braised noodles now seed tasteless.
After waiting almost a minute without seeing Jas co back in, Jane lost her appetite to continue eating. She put down her spoon, wiped her mouth clean, and walked toward the balcony.
As soon as she opened the sliding door, the wind that rushed in along with the sll of cigarette smoke made Jane cough several tis.
He wasn’t coming back in because he was out on the balcony smoking.
Just as Jane was about to apologize and say sothing to cajole and make up to Jas, before she could even open her mouth, Jas suddenly reached out, pushed her back inside, and then slamd the door shut again.
