After finishing the call, Jas Black threw back the quilt, got down to the ground, and went straight into the bathroom. He had thought that Jane Sampson would stay snuggled in the quilt, secretly delighted, and continue to sleep. To his surprise, she followed him barefoot, rubbing her bleary eyes with both hands.
"Didn’t you say you were going to take care of for a week?" Her voice was soft and coquettish, and even she herself may not have realized that her tone carried a hint of whining and complaint.
Jas Black was slightly taken aback, turned his head, and explained, "The guard team has an ergency, so the vacation is canceled."
After brushing his teeth, Jas Black hurriedly washed his face and then ca out to scoop up the barefoot Jane Sampson from the ground in a princess hold and carried her back to the bed. He stretched out his hand to cover her with the quilt, his voice gentle, "I’ll keep you company next ti I’m on vacation."
Looking at Jane Sampson’s eyes, brimming with tears and silently watching him, Jas Black’s heart softened for a mont, and he bent down to gently kiss her lips, "Be good, after you wake up, go downstairs for a al and then take a car to the Black Residence, you’ll be staying there for this period."
Without seeing Jane Sampson’s usual sneaky expression when he had to return to the team, Jas Black curled up the corner of his mouth and teasingly asked, "What? Can’t bear to let go back, huh?"
Just as expected, right after he said those words, his young wife who was silent a second ago suddenly snorted and dared to kick his stomach with her foot.
"Hurry up and leave, hurry up and leave, I get annoyed just seeing you." Jane Sampson’s tone was full of impatience, "How could I possibly not want you to go? I can’t wait for you to return to the guard team so I don’t have to eat noodles every day, and I don’t have to be dragged downstairs for jogging. My happiness level has gone up."
Jas Black caught the foot she was gently rubbing against his abdon, tucked it back under the quilt, then patted her head, "Once a month, starting from tomorrow, wherever you go for work, before you leave, rember to give a call."
Starting from tomorrow?
Jane Sampson blinked and said nothing.
"No discussions." After saying that, Jas Black straightened up, changed his clothes, and left.
It wasn’t until after Jas Black had left that Jane Sampson spat out a word, pulled the quilt over herself, and tucked herself back into the bed, not even showing her head.
She slept in until she was woken by a call from Rock Bell.
Listening to Jane Sampson’s voice on the phone, Rock Bell couldn’t help but tease, "It’s already 10:30 now, and you’re still lounging in bed at this ti? Doesn’t Chief Black care about you?"
"Of course he does." Jane Sampson laughed smugly.
"Oh, then he must have worked too hard last night, so he didn’t want to wake you up too early," Rock Bell clicked his tongue three tis, "Enjoy yourself, but be careful not to cause any loss of life. You just made your debut, and while you still have so popularity, you can’t fade out because of having a child. It’d be much more difficult to make a coback in the future."
So, do all married people, upon hearing about soone sleeping in, can’t help but overthink?
Jane Sampson touched the tip of her nose, her hand had been injured so Jas Black had restrained himself last night, she’d bet that if it weren’t for the injury to her right hand, she would definitely have been tossed and turned by Jas Black like stir-frying fish last night.
Even thinking about it was terrifying.
"By the way, I received the contract from Jas Carter’s Studio. When you’re free, co over and sign it. I’ll have Elizabeth King book your flight for next Monday, and you and Elizabeth King will go to Springtown to find Jas Carter next Monday."
