To be honest, she really didn’t want Jas Black’s gift.
"Can I try to guess what the gift is first?" Jane Sampson tentatively asked. "Give a hint."
"You’ll like it," Jas Black said, his tone light and very confident.
Yet, at that mont, Jane’s thoughts were quite the opposite.
Seeing how sure he was only made her even less interested in it.
He said she would like it, but she had no idea what she even liked recently. How could he possibly know?
So, after being silent for a few seconds, Jane slowly began, "It’s not so mandatory personal training class at a gym, is it? Or perhaps a fitness plan you custom-made for ?"
Given Jas Black’s personality, that was the only "gift" Jane could imagine him considering.
After all, a man who never gives gifts suddenly saying he wants to give one, and not for a birthday or holiday, made Jane suspect that Jas Black was probably up to no good.
"No." Even if he didn’t understand her well, Jas knew that Jane would definitely not like the things she had guessed.
So why then, would soone who dislikes such things, guess that they were the gift?
"Phew~ That’s a relief." Jane patted her little heart and decided not to guess any further.
"Why is the filming for this new drama so short? Just one week?" Jas rembered that Jane’s script had more parts in it than the last one.
"The work in Springtown isn’t for Director Wilson’s drama, it’s for the MV filming at Mr. Carter’s studio. The last ti I had a al with Mr. Carter, he ntioned this to , and later his studio reached out to Sister Tin and my company." Jane was sowhat excited; last night, when she was in contact with Jas Carter, he even said he would personally show her around Springtown after the work was done.
Springtown is a southland city, with clear water and beautiful scenery, a city with a long history, and also a well-known tourist city dostically. Economically, it’s one of the top cities in the southland.
Jane had googled Springtown, and many of its scenic spots had caught her fancy.
However, Jas Black’s reaction was noticeably larger upon hearing the three words ’Mr. Carter.’
He braked, stopped the car, and turned off the engine.
Then he suddenly pulled over to the roadside, his gaze grew heavy, and his tone a bit low, "Are you going to Springtown to find Jas Carter alone?"
"I have my assistant Elizabeth King with , you t her at the company last ti." Jane was now soone with an assistant. "It sounds like Ms. Little is also in Springtown for a show."
Jane explained because she thought that Jas was worried about her safety going to an unfamiliar city alone, so after she answered, she specifically added.
"I’m such a grown person, you can’t possibly still be worried that I’d get lost, can you? When I was very young, I could travel abroad alone for competitions; if I could do that internationally, there’s even less to worry about dostically." Jane swung her head with an air of pride, "I am an exceptionally independent person."
Although Jane had said a lot, Jas’s expression still didn’t look good.
Jane noticed this, so she sat there like a quail, staying silent.
If she said the wrong thing at this ti, there was no guarantee Jas wouldn’t turn around and take her back ho.
A man’s emotions are truly strange; one mont they’re happy, the next they’re angry, like the weather, changing unpredictably, harder to grasp than a three-year-old child.
