Watching Jas Black, who had restarted the car and was driving towards the airport, Jane Sampson looked baffled. What kind of gift had he prepared that he was confident enough to use it to threaten her?
Was he no longer using her beloved rabbit Kris, instead opting for the gift he claid she would like?
Initially, Jane Sampson was only a little curious, but now her curiosity intensified.
So, what on earth had he impulsively prepared as a gift for her?
The car stopped in the airport parking lot, and Jas Black, carrying Jane Sampson’s suitcase, walked around the car towards Jane, who was waiting for him.
Elizabeth King was waiting at Entrance Number 3 and started waving at them from afar.
"Give the luggage, you don’t need to see off," Jane Sampson said, reaching for her suitcase as she saw Elizabeth King a few ters away, "Drive slowly on your way back."
Jas Black stood there and humd a response, his gaze still on her suitcase.
When she was about to push her suitcase and turn towards Elizabeth King, Jas Black suddenly called out to her again, "If work ends early, rember to co back soon."
After saying that, he took two steps forward and suddenly pulled Jane Sampson tightly into his arms.
"If there’s nothing important, co back early, and call before you do—I’ll pick you up," Jas Black spoke while embracing her waist with one hand and gently patting her head with the other, "Co back one day earlier, and you’ll get your gift one day sooner."
Jane Sampson grinned, showing her small white teeth, and asked, "Jas Black, do you miss already?"
Her blunt question even stunned Jas Black for a mont.
"Heh," Jas Black asked, "Are you feeling smug?"
Looking at her little expression, so full of smugness, she was laughing like a little fox, full of sly charm.
"If so, then maybe just a little," Jane Sampson stretched out her hand to make a small gesture, and looking up at Jas Black, she finally broke into laughter in his arms.
"I’ll allow you to feel smug," he spoke as if he were a monarch granting amnesty.
But, Jas Black couldn’t refute Jane Sampson.
Because, at that mont, when he saw Jane Sampson about to leave with her luggage, there was a real feeling of reluctance in his heart.
The feeling of reluctance suddenly surged forth, and even Jas Black himself found it sowhat unbelievable.
Turns out, the emotion of not wanting to part with soone is so peculiar.
He wanted her to do the things that made her happy, yet he also wished she would not go anywhere and instead stay by his side forever.
"Elizabeth King is still waiting over there, I should go. I’ll call you after I get off the airplane," Jane Sampson pushed Jas Black, who had been holding her for a while and would not let go.
Jas Black humd a response, but he did not move an inch.
He didn’t want to let go.
He didn’t want to release.
Those were the thoughts in Jas Black’s mind, but even though he said nothing, his feelings were clearly expressed through his body language.
Jane Sampson didn’t rush him while in Jas Black’s arms, and after about one more minute, Jas Black finally let her go and patted her head, "I’ll accompany you to the check-in desk."
Elizabeth King stood there, dumbfounded. After Jas Black helped Jane Sampson and her with their luggage, she was still in a state of shock. How co this man seed sowhat different from the last ti she saw him at the company?
