After Jas Black got the boarding pass and checked in the luggage, he escorted Jane Sampson to the security checkpoint and didn’t go any further. He stood at the entrance, watching until Jane’s figure was no longer visible before he turned and left.
"Sister Jane, you and he seem to have a really good relationship," Elizabeth King couldn’t help murmuring to Jane Sampson in the VIP Hall’s waiting lounge.
"Who has a good relationship with him?" Jane Sampson replied, suppressing a smile at the corner of her mouth, but she couldn’t hide the amusent in her eyes.
"He must have taken the wrong dicine today," Jane said, and then she couldn’t help letting out a soft laugh.
It was quite sudden that Jas Black decided to co ho to drive her to the airport today, which was the first surprise he gave her. Afterward, when she deliberately asked him if he couldn’t bear to part with her, and he didn’t even argue, that was the second surprise for Jane today.
So, it wasn’t without reason that she said Jas Black must have taken the wrong dicine today.
Jane Sampson had inford Jas Carter of her flight details after booking the ticket, and Jas Carter said he would arrange for soone to pick her up. However, before getting off the plane, Jane could hardly believe that the "soone" Jas Carter had arranged to pick her up would be Jas Carter himself.
Seeing the masked figure with a cane at the exit, Jane turned to Elizabeth and said, "Help with the luggage for a bit, I’m going to go out first."
After instructing Elizabeth, Jane Sampson quickly ran towards Jas Carter.
"Mr. Carter, why are you personally here?" Jane, panting from the sprint, was clearly surprised even though she could see the man standing before her was only visible through his eyes above the mask.
"I was idle anyway, so I thought I’d co pick you up myself," Jas Carter shifted the cane he was holding behind him, probably to avoid hitting anyone coming out of the exit.
"Thank you, Mr. Carter." Jane felt touched. Given Mr. Carter’s condition, he could have just stayed in his studio waiting for her, or even if he ca, he could have waited in the car with Elizabeth.
Last ti they had a al together, Jane had noticed that Mr. Carter seed to have trouble walking, but she hadn’t asked why. She was ignorant of why his health seed to have deteriorated after a brief retirent.
It was touching for Jane that even under those circumstances, Mr. Carter could still co to pick her up with a cane.
As they were talking, two won ca through the exit pushing their luggage. One was about forty years old, and the other looked sowhat younger, perhaps in her thirties.
The two won ca out and stood at the exit, glancing in the direction of Jane Sampson and Jas Carter. The forty-year-old woman, wearing glasses and a mask, walked directly towards them.
"Jas Carter, what a coincidence to bump into you here!" The woman’s voice was full of astonishnt. After saying that, she turned her head to look at the girl standing with Jas Carter and then asked, "Here to pick up your friend? That’s rare. It seems like it’s been many years since you’ve invited a friend ho, hasn’t it?"
After speaking, the woman turned to Jane, her voice cheerful as she said, "I’m Jas Carter’s mother. Are you Jas’s friend? That’s wonderful. Since it’s such a coincidence, if you’re free this afternoon, why don’t you co eat with us? Now that you’re in Springtown, Jas should be an excellent host and take good care of you."
