I’m inexplicably angry!
And it’s that extrely angry kind!
Just because she laughed on the phone?
Jane Sampson was stunned for a few seconds before quickly redialing Jas Black. As soon as he answered this ti, she hurriedly said, "I won’t laugh anymore! Really!"
I’ll hold it in! Even if it kills with laughter, I will hold it in!
Jane Sampson looked at the face in the mirror, trying not to laugh, and it looked terribly ferocious.
"Are you so happy about the scandal with Shirley Young?" Jas asked.
"No? Are you angry because you thought I was laughing about having a scandal with Senior Shirley Young? How could that be? I am not crazy! I laughed just now because Sister Tin complinted !" Jane responded candidly.
After thinking for a mont, she hastily added, "The scandal should be resolved later, Shirley Young has decided to announce her marriage."
"Mhm," Jas’s tone finally softened quite a bit and he said, "I will have soone look into this for you. Alexander Forest said that those comnts claiming you’re not a good match seem to have been instigated by an unauthorized crowd."
"Unauthorized crowd? No way? I haven’t offended anyone, who would spend money on an unauthorized crowd to target ?" Jane was shocked.
"You didn’t offend anyone, but weren’t the fruits still thrown at you?" Jas scoffed. "You, a newcor, were discovered to be in the sa car with Shirley Young despite wearing a mask. Do you think it was just a coincidence that you were recognized, or could there be another reason?"
"I thought it was a coincidence," Jane scratched her head, realizing that in Jas’s mouth, the incident seed to turn into a different kind of arrangent.
"Not necessarily, we’ll know once we investigate," Jas said.
"Alright, let’s look into it," Jane nodded. With such suspicions, it’s better to investigate and find peace of mind once things are clear.
If soone really was targeting her, it was better to be aware and prepared early on.
If it weren’t for Jas ntioning it, Jane would have thought the scandal would end once Shirley Young made a statent, and she wouldn’t have thought any deeper about it.
What Jas told her successfully swept away the laughter that Jane had been unable to suppress monts earlier.
When she spoke again, her voice was muffled. "Sister Tin said you were very angry when you saw the news today?"
"Am I not allowed to be angry?" Jas retorted tersely.
Of course you’re not allowed to be! Jane thought to herself. What’s there to be angry about?
"My wife’s na, associated with another man’s, living together as his girlfriend? Hmph!" With that disdainful snort, Jas’s ferocity was beyond words. "I declared to the guard team that Jane Sampson is my wife, and not a single one of those rascals believed it."
Although those rascals didn’t say it explicitly, their indescribable expressions were clear enough for Jas to understand that they were probably muttering about him in their hearts.
Most likely, they thought he had gone mad.
"That’s easy to fix. Show them our marriage certificate!" Jane burst into joy. "The marriage certificate is the best evidence!"
Jas’s eyes flickered slightly. This...
Was a good idea.
"But..." Jane slightly suppressed the excitent in her heart, "Jas, why do you care so much about these little things people say? Sister Tin said you were jealous?"
After pausing for a second, Jane suddenly said, "Jas, do you like ~"
Jas, listening to the coy giggling coming through the phone, felt his scalp tingle.
The trailing sound of the word "like", with its quivering tone, coupled with a quaint laugh, left Jas stunned and speechless for a long ti.
After a while, Jas cleared his throat and huffed, "If you’re happy thinking that, then think whatever you want."
"..." Not fun at all!
Jane humd lowly.
