Upon entering the private room, Jane Sampson and Jas Carter finally took off their masks. The dining hall was on the pricier side, and it was common to run into so stars or other special individuals there. Hence, their entrance with masks on didn’t seem out of place.
After sitting down, the two of them flipped through the all-English nu once, pleasantly and deliberately made their selections, and waited until the waiter departed with a smile before Jas Carter started talking to Jane Sampson about the premiere event.
"You’re quite fond of traveling, aren’t you? Smytheton is an excellent tourist city. Then, if you have enough ti, after it’s over, we could stay here for two more days," said Jas Carter. "There is a mountain in Smytheton worth visiting."
"Jas Black, my husband," Jane Sampson said with an embarrassed smile. "From what he implies, it seems he will be joining in Smytheton for the premiere. I haven’t received the schedule for after the event yet, so whether we’ll stay in Smytheton for an extra two days depends on his availability."
At this point, Jane Sampson shrugged, "I bet if he doesn’t have the ti, he’ll definitely drag ho. He would never let stay alone in Smytheton."
That guy probably wishes she would stay under his watch all day, not going anywhere, just remaining at ho like a little fairy who only drinks dew and never touches ice cream, potato chips, or spicy strips.
Jas Carter was montarily taken aback, then he laughed, "It sounds like the two of you have a very good relationship."
"Good relationship? He’s just soone who gets on my nerves every day," Jane Sampson pouted. However, despite her words, the smile in her eyes betrayed her current good mood.
"By the way, Mr. Carter," Jane Sampson thought for a mont, couldn’t help herself, and asked, "Do you know Mandy Forest? This morning, when you called , she was right across from . When she heard talking to you on the phone, she seed quite agitated."
After saying this, Jane Sampson cautiously watched Jas Carter’s reaction. She hadn’t expected it to be as intense as it was — his hand holding the glass water cup shook violently, and the cup almost slamd onto the tabletop. Had Jane Sampson’s reflexes not been quick, the cup would have fallen to ground level. "Mr. Carter, what’s wrong?" Jane Sampson was startled by his reaction. After steadying the cup, she quickly pulled out so paper to dry the water in front of him, looking at him with a worried face.
"She’s in City S?" Jas Carter’s voice contained an emotion Jane Sampson couldn’t quite understand.
"Yes, she’s the spokesperson for the new season of bags for JK," Jane Sampson replied. ", Lotus, and Sister Mandy Forest have been shooting advertisents in City S these past few days. JK is rushing to release their new products on ti."
After she finished speaking, Jane Sampson silently topped up Jas Carter’s water and then slowly pushed the cup towards him. Jas Carter remained silent throughout, sitting there quietly with an empty gaze. Jane Sampson had no idea what he was thinking at that mont.
If the waiter hadn’t knocked on the door to serve the dishes, Jane Sampson wasn’t sure how long Jas Carter would have remained lost in thought.
"I’m sorry." Jas Carter finally snapped out of it and apologized. He took a sip from the water cup and then asked quietly, "Has she been doing well recently?"
"What should it be like to be ’well’? And what should it be like to be ’not well’? I don’t know how to answer that question," Jane Sampson shook her head seriously.
