Food was still in her mouth that she hadn’t had ti to swallow, and Jas quickly hooked it with his tongue.
Jane sat there petrified, not moving at all; her one hand still holding a stead bun and scallion pancakes, the other hand in the air, nearly unsure where to place it.
Feeling Jas snatching food from her mouth, Jane wanted to push him away, but her hand was as if under a paralysis spell, unable to move an inch for half a day.
She didn’t know how long it took before Jas finally released her.
His deep voice ca to her ears with a hint of a smile, "Tastes good."
Jane felt her head fill with blood, her face turning almost as red as a ripe persimmon.
She slowly turned her head away, not daring to give Jas even a glance.
After a long while, then with her head tilted to the side, she slowly reached out her hand straight to Jas, "Here, you eat!"
Jas actually bent down and took a bite.
The stead bun with a piece of scallion pancake was indeed delicious.
But delicious as it was,
there was sothing missing from the taste.
He always felt it wasn’t as sweet as the bite he had snatched from his own wife’s mouth.
This ti, Jane didn’t tease Jas anymore. Turning her head, she saw him biting exactly where she had, Jane’s gaze drifting as she asked in a low voice, "Tasty, right?"
"Mhm," Jas nodded and after saying that, he added, "Not as tasty as you."
Jane’s face burned again, and she turned to glare at Jas.
However, this shy blush on her face, coupled with her glaring eyes, appeared utterly coquettish.
"You’re such a..." Jane pursed her lips, but she didn’t give him any adjectives, not even one word more.
Jane pulled up a chair and sat next to Jas, then with her free hand, she opened the pot edge paste and turned to look at Jas, "Try this first?"
"Whichever you like." Seeing Jane about to write the three words ’I want to eat’ clearly on her face, Jas nodded, watching her lean over to untie the purse with her head down, he quietly curled his lips.
If he hadn’t been spending ti with Jane recently, Jas would’ve never noticed that such a thin and frail Jane was actually a little hamster who loved food.
Because she only had one hand free, it took Jane a while to unpack it. After she did, she moved the bowl to the center of the small table and spooned up a small spoonful to feed Jas.
After Jas had a bite, she hastily asked, "Is this tasty?"
Jas slightly raised his eyebrows, clearly in a good mood, and gave a complint, "Not bad."
That ’not bad’ clearly hooked Jane’s craving for food.
She quickly took a bite, cooling the hot food with sharp breaths, but didn’t forget to praise it, "It’s really tasty! I’m starting to love it here so much!"
In just a few minutes, Jane had already planned out all the breakfast they would have during their stay in the hospital for the next few days.
One day this, the next day that, down the entire street, half a month might pass without repeating any al.
"You take a bite, I take a bite." Jane was so happy she could almost fly, feeding Jas while her mouth wasn’t idle besides eating, "A bite for Jas, a bite for , let’s not disdain each other, and try to finish all the stuff I bought!"
