"Isn’t this coming out right now?" Jas Black chuckled, "Co here."
Jane Sampson flared her lips in annoyance, sure that he was taking her concern for granted.
Hmph!
Jane Sampson and Jas Black faced each other through the kitchen door, one inside and the other outside, locking eyes for a few seconds. Then it was Jane who gave in first, stepping out.
"I ca out," Jane said in a muffled voice as she stood before Jas Black.
"Didn’t you want to drink so water? Did you?" Jas Black asked.
Jane shook her head. Drinking water was just an excuse she had used to get away from Jas Black at that mont.
She wasn’t actually thirsty; she just didn’t want to stay where Jas Black could see her crying.
"Still want to drink?" Jas Black continued to inquire.
Jane shook her head and quickly nodded, opening her mouth to reply with one word, "Drink."
"Go drink. I’ll wait for you here," Jas Black said, then leaned back against the wall, "After you’ve finished drinking, we’ll go upstairs together."
Jane stood there stunned for a while before managing an "Oh," turned around, and poured herself half a cup of water, which she then gulped down.
After finishing, Jane looked back at the person by the door and added another half a cup of water to her cup before walking over to Jas Black’s side. "Do you want to drink?" she asked, holding the cup.
Jas Black’s gaze fell on the water cup for a second, then moved away, settling on Jane’s pink lips, still wet from her recent sip.
The freshly moistened pink lips shimred under the light, as though glistening with droplets of water.
As if the question of whether to drink was hard, Jas Black didn’t imdiately answer but nodded gently after being quiet for a few seconds.
"I’ll feed you," Jane declared.
After saying so, she held the water cup to his lips, and Jas Black only had to lower his head slightly to drink from it.
Even though Jas Black was drinking, his gaze continually drifted upward, fixated on Jane’s expression.
It wasn’t until this ti that Jas Black could really get a clear view of her face. Her skin was fair and clean, almost flawless, so the slightly reddened eye sockets and a bit swollen eyelids easily revealed the fact that she had been crying just now.
Jas Black drank slowly, observing until he had taken in her complete expression, before he finally looked away and drained the cup of water in one swig. After Jane put away the cup, he followed two steps behind her, back to the bedroom.
After entering the room, Jane promptly climbed onto the bed and only turned off the bedroom light once Jas Black had lain down beside her.
"Move a bit closer to ."
His voice ca from behind her ear. No sooner had he finished the sentence than he added another, "Don’t turn your back of the head toward ."
"Jas Black, you are really annoying," Jane murmured in disdain, but quickly turned her body back around and scooted closer to him. Seeing that her hand wouldn’t touch his, she reached out and directly wrapped her arms around Jas Black’s waist, then posed the question, "Is this okay now?"
The corners of Jas Black’s mouth curled into a slight smile as he humd in affirmation.
"If I fall asleep, will I accidentally bump your hand?" Jane asked worriedly. "My sleeping posture hasn’t been very good lately."
"It won’t happen," Jas Black said unconcernedly, knowing an accidental touch during her sleep was nothing to worry about.
Jane felt it might happen, but at this mont, holding him tight, she found herself reluctant to let go.
"Then just hold on for a while," Jane thought to herself. "Just for a little while, and when it’s ti to sleep, I’ll let go of you."
Jas Black had to lie down flat to sleep now, so to get a glance at Jane’s face, he needed to turn his own face sideways and look down.
