"..." Jas Black imperceptibly curled the corner of his mouth, his face revealing a rare state of stiffness.
So, it seems that the flower shop really doesn’t need to consider whether a woman can carry the flowers or not, as when push cos to shove, a woman’s strength and explosive power can be quite formidable.
For instance, didn’t Jane Sampson pull off an over-the-shoulder throw on Liam Woody at the guard team that day?
"Put it down, let’s go eat first," said Jas Black, stepping forward to stand next to Jane Sampson.
"Can I hold it a little longer?" Jane Sampson pursed her lips and negotiated with Jas Black in a low voice, "Just for a short while longer."
Jane Sampson’s hands were both occupied with holding the flower in her arms, but she still cocked up both thumbs, giving Jas a tiny gesture.
It was then that Jas Black noticed Jane was holding sothing bunched up in her hand.
He casually asked, "What have you got there in your hand?"
Jas Black didn’t expect that such an offhand question would cause Jane Sampson to explode like a cat with its tail stepped on.
"Nothing!" Jane Sampson said with a stiff neck, "Absolutely nothing!"
After speaking, she imdiately added, "Let’s go eat, let’s eat. Any more delay and the als will get cold, and they won’t taste good."
With those words, she took the lead to the dinner table, carrying the flowers swiftly. She placed them on one of the chairs, then quickly hid whatever she was holding in her palm into her trouser pocket. After tucking it away, she carefully patted her pocket and only then did she steal a glance at Jas Black.
Knowing he had been watching her the whole ti and was aware that she had hidden sothing, yet relying on the fact that both of Jas’s hands were bandaged and he couldn’t co forward to snatch it away, Jane Sampson gave him a cheeky smile. She then waved at him, saying, "Co on, let’s eat!"
That was the most beautiful smile Jane Sampson showed Jas Black in the past 24 hours.
Although Jane Sampson’s series of reactions and movents had piqued Jas’s curiosity, and even though his hands were bandaged, if he really wanted to, he would still be able to restrain her.
However, since he had finally managed to appease her, Jas Black had no intention of provoking her over sothing trivial again.
Jane Sampson not talking to him for a whole night and morning was more irkso to Jas Black than any other emotion.
Jas Black sat next to Jane, thought for a mont, and confird, "You’re not angry anymore?"
Jane Sampson smiled as she bent her brows and nodded, "Not angry anymore."
"Then that ans we have made up," Jas Black needed to confirm one more ti.
Seeing Jane smile and continue nodding, Jas Black subtly smiled with a curl of his lips.
Easy to please, indeed.
"But next ti you go out to play, you have to take with you, or else I’ll get mad again," Jane Sampson started to negotiate terms with Jas Black, "Being at ho alone is so boring. Moreover, when you and Alexander Forest go out without , it leaves worried sick. I can’t even focus on my ga."
"Mhm," Jas Black nodded and agreed, "There’s a reason I didn’t take you to the auction event this ti."
This was his belated explanation.
"Alright, I’ll trust you this once, and I won’t be angry anymore," Jane Sampson said with a nod, her smile bright and content.
Jane Sampson not angry with Jas Black was back to being her chatty self.
Having held back from talking to Jas Black for an entire night and morning, Jane spent the lunchti pouring out all her pent-up words in a stream, including her morning excursion to play landlord with Quincy Forest and Coco Edwards at the hotel.
