The hairpin was truly beautiful, but looking at her own hairstyle in the mirror, Jane Sampson’s mouth twitched.
Was this the final result after he had struggled for minutes?
Jane knew that Jas had tried his best.
"You don’t like it?" Jas had been watching Jane’s expression closely, and noticing the slight movent of her lips, he asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"I like the gift you gave , but not the hairstyle you did for ," Jane answered honestly, then reached out to Jas, "Hurry up and get my mobile phone from under the pillow. This is the first hairstyle you’ve done for , and I definitely need to take a photo to keep as a mory."
Jas stood there, unwilling to move; even he knew it looked terrible, like a madman, so he was not too keen.
But seeing Jane’s excited face, Jas couldn’t bear to upset her. So, he ended up getting her the mobile phone and even took a few photos for her.
"You can redo your hair if you want," Jas said, unable to bear looking any longer, so he urged Jane.
Only after taking enough photos did Jane smile, putting the mobile phone down on the desktop. She carefully took the jade hairpin from her hair and examined it closely in her hand.
"Where did you buy this hairpin?" Jane had felt sothing familiar about the hairpin the mont she saw it, and upon taking it down, she was sure: she had indeed seen this hairpin before.
However, the one Jane had seen before was a counterfeit.
Her first acting job was a costu drama in which she played Matthew Chip’s sister, and one of her looks involved using a fake version of this hairpin.
The first ti she saw it in the makeup artist’s box in the makeup room, she thought it was lovely. The fake had ’fake’ inscribed on the back, purely decorative.
Jane rembered she had casually taken a photo at the ti, but she couldn’t rember if she had sent it to anyone or posted it on Monts.
But the makeup artist, seeing her fondness for it, had used that particular hairpin in her hairstyle.
Later, after the drama was broadcast, the hairstyle received high praise, and during an interview with the drama’s behind-the-scenes crew, the makeup artist ntioned that Jane really liked the hairpin.
The jade hairpin Jas had given her was not marked as a fake, and even soone like Jane, who was not very knowledgeable about jade, could clearly tell the difference in texture and color between the one in her hand and the one the makeup artist had used.
Jane was certain that anything Jas gave her could not possibly be fake, so she guessed that the hairpin might be a discreetly styled design from so international jewelry brand.
Asking Jas where he bought it, Jane actually wanted to know how he thought of giving it to her.
However, Jane did not expect Jas to answer her seriously all of a sudden.
"Bought it at a two-buck shop."
Hearing this, Jane unhesitatingly glared at Jas in the mirror, then skillfully used the hairpin to gather her long black hair into a familiar updo.
Looking at herself in the mirror, her ancient style enhanced by just one hairpin, Jane couldn’t help softening the curve of her lips when she smiled.
"Does it look good?" Jane slowly turned her head to ask Jas.
