Jas Black then lowered his gaze to the watch on his wrist, it was the unexpected model.
"Mm," Jas Black’s corner of the mouth lifted slightly, "it’s a bit richer than I had imagined."
"The day before yesterday, I went to the specialty counter to pick up the watch. After I paid the money, I had only a tiny bit of change left in my account, not even enough for Häagen-Dazs ice cream," Jane Sampson said with a face full of grievance. "I’m now utterly broke."
Jas Black patted Jane Sampson’s head, exactly wanting her to be in a financial state where she couldn’t even afford ice cream.
"You’re not unwilling to give it?" Before Jane Sampson put the watch on his wrist, Jas Black really thought that he couldn’t pry the watch out of her hands.
After all, at that ti, Jane’s refusal was so straightforward, and she seed so reluctant, the spitting image of a miser. "I am reluctant to give it up," Jane Sampson nodded her head, then let out a helpless sigh. "But there’s nothing I can do, who made co across a Chief Black who’s like a big lion."
Even a heart of steel at this mont should be softened into water by Jane Sampson’s manner.
"Co here for a hug," Jas Black stretched out his right hand toward Jane Sampson, his heart already soft inside.
Jane Sampson happily leaned forward to hug him, her smile blooming like a flower, her laughter ringing like a bell.
His hand, caressing the back of her head, was very gentle, very soft, as if holding so rare treasure, carefully cherishing and protecting.
"Where’s my gift?" After Jane Sampson left Jas Black’s arms, she stretched out her pink palm directly toward him.
Jas Black paused for a second, then spoke. "Sit in front of your dressing table, close your eyes, and wait until I tell you to open them. Then you can open your eyes."
Jane Sampson obediently and swiftly sat down on the dressing stool and closed her eyes, full of anticipation.
Seeing that she was rarely being honest and really closing her eyes, Jas Black took out sothing from the bedhead cabinet on his side, walked around behind her, and stood there.
She had given him a gift, one that she had personally placed on his wrist.
The gift he was giving her, he also wanted to personally place it upon her head.
But...
Two minutes later.
Jas Black realized the idea was too beautiful, the reality too harsh.
He had bought a hairpin, not a clip.
His left hand was injured, and he could only use his right hand.
He didn’t know how to use a hairpin at all, completely clueless about it.
So, after fiddling around on Jane Sampson’s head for two or three minutes, Jas Black managed with only one hand to barely secure the hairpin on Jane’s forehead.
Jas Black could only make sure that the hairpin wouldn’t fall from Jane’s hair within a few seconds.
As for whether the hairstyle looked good or was as ssy as a ghost’s, that really wasn’t sothing Jas Black could fix just by trying.
"Is it done yet?" This was the second ti Jane Sampson urged him.
Jas Black quietly looked at the person in the mirror in front of him, hesitated a few seconds, then said in a gentle voice, "It’s done now, you can open your eyes and look in the mirror, but don’t move your head."
Jane Sampson’s eyes opened swiftly, almost as soon as Jas Black’s words fell, she was already looking.
Staring at the person in the mirror, Jane Sampson didn’t recognize her at first.
If it weren’t for the addition of a white jade hairpin with a touch of pleasant natural green among her hair, Jane would have almost thought that Jas Black was playing a trick on her.
The hairpin was beautiful, adorned with gemstone-decorated stans.
It was as if a flower, lifelike and true, was embedded on the hairpin.
