Jas Black’s question actually left Jane Sampson stunned.
Why was ice cream suddenly brought up?
What does this have to do with ice cream?
Jane blinked her eyes, then shook her head vigorously, and seeing that Jas was still standing there, staring at her, she reached out and hugged his legs, resting her face against his waist.
It was only at this mont that Jane ca back to her senses.
Looking up, she asked, "You don’t really think I ca to the guard team just for an ice cream, do you?"
After asking, Jane looked at Jas with an expression that said, ’are you stupid’ and then continued, "How could that be? If I really wanted it that bad, I’d sneak out and buy it myself, and you wouldn’t even know!"
"You have no money," Jas gave Jane a very fitting reason.
"No, no, no," Jane chuckled and shook her head, "I do have money, the money you gave this morning."
Using Jas’s card, Jas would know where she’d gone, but hadn’t he sent her a red envelope that morning?
Worst cos to worst, if she really wanted it that badly, she could call Nina out and sponge a al off her.
However, having said that, Jane imdiately regretted it.
Seeing the thoughtful look on Jas’s face, she really felt like slapping herself.
This guy wouldn’t start thinking and then stop giving her red envelopes in the future, would he? Jane promptly called out to Jas and quickly said, "I’ve been very good, and I definitely haven’t done anything you wouldn’t allow!"
Jas looked down at Jane, saw her trying to look well-behaved, curved the corner of his mouth into a smile, and gave a hum, his broad palm gently pressing down on her head.
She was becoming more skilled at acting spoiled.
Jas pried off Jane’s hands wrapped around his legs and sat down beside her before speaking again, asking, "Did sothing happen to make you unhappy?"
Jane instinctively shook her head, "Not at all."
"Little swindler," Jas scoffed.
If sothing hadn’t upset her, there’s no way Jane would have suddenly driven to the guard team alone to find him.
Especially knowing that he would be back ho in the evening.
The little swindler gave Jas a toothy smile. Sure, she was a bit upset for a while and really wanted soone to cheer her up, but now that she was with him, Jane didn’t want to talk to him about those upsetting and botherso matters.
Peter Gingery arrived quickly, almost running all the way after having packed the als, initially because he was worried he had left his brother hungry, but then, knowing that Jane had co to the guard team, he hurried to find her.
"Brother! Open the door! I’m here! I’ve brought lunch for little Jane," Peter shouted even before reaching the doorway. His voice was so loud that he could make an entire floor’s people hear him without exaggeration.
Jas opened the door for Peter, who entered as if he was in his own ho, slipping off his shoes and running inside, holding the lunchbox and ignoring Jas as he dashed toward Jane.
"Little Jane, I’ve packed lunch for you. Why didn’t you tell you were coming to the guard team?" Peter sat on a chair opposite Jane, handing her the lunchbox while reprimanding her, "If I had known you were coming, I wouldn’t have eaten all the snacks last night. I could have saved so for you."
"She ca to see , why should she tell you?" Jas asked in a lancholic voice from behind Peter.
Peter turned his head to glance at Jas behind him and then quickly turned back, rolling his eyes out of Jas’s sight.
