A while later, indeed, Jas Black saw Jane Sampson’s car at the gate entrance, and Jane Sampson was sitting inside the car.
After walking over, Jas first spoke to his subordinates, then signed in before he walked over to Jane’s car and directly opened the passenger seat to sit down.
As soon as Jane saw Jas sit down, her first reaction was to hug her head very cowardly with both hands, revealing only a pair of eyes, half-squinting at Jas.
"What are you doing?" Jas frowned slightly, "Not driving in, are you playing monkey out here?"
Playing monkey?
Jane pursed her lips, then slowly lowered her hands and asked with disbelief, "You’re not going to hit ?"
"When have I ever hit you?" Jas scoffed, flicked her forehead with his hand, "Hurry and drive in, I’ll take you to my dormitory first."
"Now," Jane softly talked back.
Seeing Jas’s gaze fly over to her again, Jane did not say another word, skillfully started the car, and quickly drove in, all the way down to the downstairs of Jas Black’s dormitory building.
Jas glanced at the car, didn’t see Jane bring any stuff, and once Jane parked the car, he led her upstairs, and only after entering the door did he ask, "Have you had lunch yet?"
Jane truthfully shook her head, then followed behind Jas like a little tail.
Jas turned his head, saw Jane shaking her head, took out his mobile phone, and called Peter Gingery to directly ask him to go to the dining hall and pack a lunch for him to bring over to the dormitory.
The entire phone call was just that one sentence, leaving Peter Gingery on the other end utterly baffled.
After making Jane sit in the living room, Jas went to the kitchen to pour her a glass of water, then began to ask her, "Why did you suddenly co to the guard team?"
Jane held the water cup with both hands, cautiously probing, "Are you upset?"
After saying that, Jane reached out a hand and tugged at Jas’s trouser leg, gently shaking it, "I know you don’t like coming to the guard team to disturb you, sorry about that, but today is an exception, it will absolutely not happen again! Definitely not."
In fact, Jas was just feeling a bit surprised, but he was not upset at all.
However, seeing how cautious Jane was, Jas did not imdiately explain but instead spoke again, "First tell , why are you at the guard team."
After saying that, Jas wrapped the hand that was pulling at his trousers into his palm.
A person who would almost never take the initiative to co to the guard team to find him suddenly did; in Jas’s view, the stranger the event, the more there must be a reason behind it.
Jane’s gaze was fixed on the hand that Jas held with his right hand.
Huh, he’s not mad?
Jane felt relieved.
Good, he’s not angry. Jane was just afraid her impulsive behavior would upset Jas.
Not receiving a response from Jane, Jas frowned slightly and urged again, "Speak."
Jane then stretched out her other hand, tugging on the other side of Jas’s trouser leg, her voice as tiny as a mosquito fluttering its wings, "It’s just... It’s just..."
"It’s just what?" Jas pressed.
Jane shut her eyes, gritted her teeth, and mustered her courage to roar, "It’s just that I missed you!"
After roaring, her face turned as red as a ripe red persimmon.
Ti seed to suddenly freeze, and Jas was stunned on the spot, his black pupils looking inquisitively at Jane.
A few seconds later, he slowly said.
"Just for so ice cream?" he suddenly asked.
