Jane Sampson was unsure whether Director Jas Chip had forgotten the feud between her and Amber Edwards or deliberately made things difficult for Edwards.
Through the incident with the eting gift this morning, the entire cast and crew knew that Edwards loathed Jane Sampson, and she made it blatantly clear how much she despised her.
However, out of all the things Director Jas Chip could have said, he insisted on Edwards watching how Jane Sampson acted.
He didn’t talk about Edward Chip, who acted alongside Jane, nor Hibiscus Wood, he specifically ntioned Jane Sampson.
Edwards sat there with eyes reddening from anger, she coldly turned her back, positioning the back of her head towards them.
Seeing Edwards couldn’t act and was unwilling to learn, Director Jas Chip was enraged. Without further ado, he called the personnel to prepare and then began.
The scene between Edwards and Hibiscus Wood was the first to be fild this morning. With no satisfying opening even for a second in the previous takes, as soon as Jane Sampson and Edward Chip began their part, Director Jas Chip found everything they did pleasing to the eye and satisfactory.
He pondered why there was such a disparity between the two, with one being the female supporting role specifically appointed by the big investor and the other being the investor himself, both with solid backing.
Nonetheless, these thoughts of Director Jas Chip were not reflected on his face. As the atmosphere improved, he called Hibiscus Wood back and decided to film the parts without Edwards first.
And so, half the day passed with Edwards sitting there in makeup, just waiting on the sidelines.
She waited like this until Director Jas Chip announced it was ti to eat and everyone should take a break. It was then that he finally seed to rember Edwards, turning his head toward her, but his words still infuriated her.
"After watching the whole morning, have you learned anything?" Finally having a spare mont, Director Jas Chip was in good spirits since the shoots afterward went smoothly, with nearly every shot being perfect on the first take. He picked up the script, ready to explain to Edwards how she should play her role.
But Edwards kept a cold face throughout, and to his question, she kept her head down, toying with her mobile phone, without uttering a sound. Edwards’s behavior could be described as extrely impolite.
However, since Edwards was an investor who had brought in a significant sum of money, and later increased her investnt to secure the third female role, Director Jas Chip still put up with her.
Director Jas Chip tapped his fingers lightly on the table, "Miss Edwards, your mobile phone can wait. Let’s use the alti to discuss how you should play your role."
Although Edwards didn’t look up at him, Director Jas Chip continued, "Your character, Rose Bennett, cos from a minor county official’s house. In the Imperial Palace, she belongs to a very low status. If not for the help of Honored Princess Consort Dawn, Rose would have been nothing more than palace maid material. But since the Honored Princess Consort wants to cultivate her own people, she chose Rose, whose looks are quite ordinary and personality relatively easy to manage. All this is written in the character introduction of the script; these are the premises. So when you play this role, you need to let go of Miss Edwards’s noble status and imrse yourself in this character."
To ensure Edwards understood, Director Jas Chip brought up two other people as examples. He pointed towards Jane Sampson not far away, saying, "Look at Jane Sampson, she’s usually quite amiable, right? She can chat and laugh even with a supporting actor who has very few lines. But once she is in front of the lens, she can quickly switch gears and imrse herself fully into the role of the Honored Princess Consort."
