"Director, my assistant brought so chrysanthemum tea. Let’s all have so after the al to soothe our throats," Jane Sampson said with a smile, stopping in front of Jas Chip, "Especially you, Director. You should definitely drink an extra cup. You really had a tough morning, preaching with a bitter heart for quite a while."
"Ah, okay," Jas Chip was montarily stunned before taking a cup and expressing his thanks, "You young ladies really know how to stay healthy. This flower tea slls really nice."
Jas Chip was sowhat surprised that Jane Sampson was being so amiable and even brewing chrysanthemum tea for everyone.
Of course, Jas Chip was a sharp man and could certainly hear the barely veiled mocking tones in Jane Sampson’s words.
Hadn’t he just been earnestly preaching to Amber Edwards right before the al?
Although the object of his earnest lecture didn’t seem very grateful.
After he took his tea, seeing that there was plenty left on the tray, he began assisting Jane Sampson in inviting the crew nearby to help themselves. Only after the tray was empty did Jane Sampson say to everyone, "I have more, everyone co and get it."
Since Jane Sampson had invited everyone to help themselves, no one stood on ceremony, and they crowded around her.
Seeing this, Amber Edwards scoffed disdainfully, "Trying to win people over with so cheap stuff and little favors?"
"Exactly, our miss could buy enough chrysanthemums to last anyone a year with what she gives as a eting gift," the assistant next to her nodded repeatedly.
"Only a fool would think of serving hot chrysanthemum tea in such hot weather at midday. It won’t be surprising if it makes our throats burn. Everyone is just being polite because they don’t want to embarrass her by rejecting her enthusiasm. They actually think she’s brought sothing of value?" After her sarcasm, Amber Edwards told her two assistants, "You two go to the nearest cold drink store and order iced chrysanthemum tea for everyone here, including the crew mbers and extras, but of course, excluding Jane Sampson and her assistant!"
"Yes! Got it!" The assistants nodded repeatedly and promptly got up to leave.
What Amber Edward’s assistants were up to, no one knew. After everyone finished their al and rested for half an hour, Jas Chip began calling everyone to their positions.
The weather at this ti was far better than before the rain in Capital Province. Although everyone was sweltering in their costus, they had rested for a while and cooled down with electric fans.
Finishing early ant finishing work early, so when Jas Chip called, everyone conscientiously got up.
Everyone except Amber Edwards, who sat unmoving, fanning herself with the prop fan in front of the electric fan.
Jas Chip didn’t bother with Amber Edwards but gathered Jane Sampson and a few others to explain the scenes they were about to shoot.
Coco Edwards was there, chatting with other actors. The crew also included many veteran actors playing roles of Empress Dowager, Consort Dowager, or high court ministers. Even though they were all veterans, each was approachable and could make conversation even with an assistant like Coco Edwards.
Added to the fact that Coco Edwards was there brewing tea for everyone, two or three people who weren’t needed yet simply gathered around Jane Sampson’s spot to chat, too lazy to move anywhere else.
Amber Edward’s assistant returned after one and a half hours. During that period, Amber Edwards sent countless text ssages urging them on. When her assistants finally arrived, they were accompanied by employees from the cold drink store and two security guards from the film and TV town to help bring the cold drinks in.
