Shen Congwen had only said it out of desperation, though he really was going on a blind date. It was partly because his parents kept nagging him, and partly to dispel Gu Yuanshan’s suspicions.
Zhou Yunchen said it in such a way that it seed there was nothing objectionable about his offer.
Shen Congwen pursed his lips and said nothing. But Zhou Yunchen had already gotten out of the car and walked around to the driver’s side. "Scoot over. I’ll drive."
Shen Congwen looked at him.
"Looks like you had so aperitif," Zhou Yunchen leaned close to him, a half-smile on his face.
Shen Congwen’s expression flickered. He had almost forgotten about it. In the past, he would never have been so careless.
Zhou Yunchen chuckled again, then gently pulled him out of the driver’s seat and got in himself.
Now, Shen Congwen had no choice but to go along. He sat in the passenger seat, fuming.
Then he said angrily, "Zhou Yunchen, you’re just as infuriating as you’ve always been!"
"Am I?" Zhou Yunchen started the car.
Shen Congwen drove a white BMW, which suited his temperant. No wonder Princess Gu had taken a liking to this pretty boy.
Zhou Yunchen tilted his head and suddenly chuckled.
Thoroughly annoyed, Shen Congwen turned his head to one side and remained silent.
