Old Wang clutched his chest, his expression appalling.

The old lady calmly put down her French novel and handed Old Wang a pill.
Gu Anxi walked over, smiling, then suddenly took the bottle and opened it.
"Speed dicine rescue heart pill? Isn’t this just Vitamin C?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
Old Wang hadn’t even swallowed the pill yet. His eyes widened as he pointed a trembling finger at Gu Anxi. "You... you young doctor! You’re infuriating ! I’m going to die from anger..."

Mrs. Wang gasped. "Oh dear, is it for real this ti?"

Gu Anxi thought to herself: You won’t die, but I can certainly give you a taste of a living death!
Mrs. Wang was suddenly overco with distress. Her dynamic with Old Wang was quite peculiar; he, a man who once held a position of great power, was now behaving like a petulant old child, needing to be coaxed by his wife.
A young nurse nearby whispered, "Old Wang used to be a long-term worker at Mrs. Wang’s family ho. It’s a classic tale of the young lady of the house and the hired hand."
Gu Anxi couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
While comforting Old Wang, Mrs. Wang shot Gu Anxi a fierce glare. "We’re transferring to another hospital!"
Gu Anxi, her hands in her white coat pockets, said, "Fine. Sign this, and from now on, whether you live or die will have nothing to do with Yunxi Hospital. You can leave imdiately."
Old Wang began to whimper again, complaining to his wife, "Look at her attitude!"

Old Wang whimpered again. "She’s being unreasonable!"
"Fine, I’m being unreasonable, am I?" Gu Anxi let out a long breath and was about to say more when Bo Xichen’s assistant rushed in.
"Doctor Gu," the assistant said urgently, "there’s an ergency case! The patient is high-profile and in critical condition, requiring imdiate surgery. But no one in the hospital is confident enough to perform it. Should we arrange a transfer?"
Gu Anxi frowned. "Is that so?"
She gave instructions to two nurses. "I’ll go check on it. You two help Old Wang with his routine care. I’ll be back this afternoon."
The nurses nodded.
Gu Anxi hurried away.
Only then did Old Wang pull his head out from under the blanket, huffing, "That little brat, she just left like that?"
Mrs. Wang looked sharply at the young nurse. "What’s her background?"
