The next day, Chu Ci took Chu Yan to school and happened to see Gu Anxi when they parked their car.
Chu Ci got out of the car and opened the door for Chu Yan, who looked listless, her head hung low.
Chu Ci looked at Gu Anxi. "I’ll pick her up after school."
Gu Anxi nodded.
She understood. Chu Ci wanted her to keep an eye on Chu Yan, afraid she might run off. She had also largely guessed what had happened but didn’t comnt... It just felt like such a sha.

Gu Anxi went straight to him, burying her face in his chest and mumbling, "No one can bully , except you, Uncle."
Her words left him not knowing whether to laugh or cry. "How have I bullied you?"
"You always make cry," she whispered, hugging him tighter.
Bo Xichen just smiled and patted her back.
After they embraced quietly for a mont, she rested her chin on his shoulder and whispered, "Yan Yan knows about her background now, and about her and Chu Ci... Uncle, after you found out I was Infinite, did you ever have any doubts?"
She wrinkled her little nose and whispered, "All the vicious things they say about out there, doesn’t it scare you?"
Bo Xichen pinched her cheek. "Didn’t you just say I always make you cry?"
When he first t her, she was a formidable and fierce little girl, yet he’d still fallen for her... He just hadn’t expected that over ti she would turn into such an adorable little darling.
As he said this, Gu Anxi’s face flushed. "Shaless."
She leaned on his shoulder, listening as he spoke slowly. "Anxi, n and won are different. If a man truly wants sothing, he’ll go after it, no matter the consequences."
She wrinkled her nose. "But you’re not that impulsive."
He chuckled, his laugh a little mischievous. After a mont, he gently tapped her nose. "That depends on who I et."
The adorable little darling felt a sweet warmth spread through her, thoroughly content.
Just as they were sharing an affectionate mont, Bo Xichen’s phone rang. He answered it and, after a mont, looked at Gu Anxi.
Gu Anxi’s eyes sparkled as she looked back at him.
Putting down his phone, Bo Xichen said, "That was King Jingyao. He said Infinite stole files from important French personnel, and now he wants my cooperation to apprehend Infinite."
Hearing this, Gu Anxi shifted slightly.
Bo Xichen reached out and pulled her closer. "Was that you?"
"Yes," Gu Anxi admitted defiantly.
Bo Xichen regarded her.
Her bravado lessened sowhat, and she answered honestly, "It was a comrcial job. The commission was very high."
Bo Xichen remained silent. She continued in a low voice, "Uncle, I know you don’t want to, but my identity hasn’t been exposed, and I haven’t had an open rupture with Dark yet! Whatever the reason, I have to do these things!"
It wasn’t yet ti for an open rupture.
Bo Xichen was montarily speechless.
His gaze was gentle. Finally, he kissed her forehead, his voice unusually hoarse. "Stay ho and be good. I have to go out for a bit."
Gu Anxi humd in acknowledgnt, already curled up on the sofa, tearing open a bag of snacks.
He pinched her cheek again. "Have dinner first."
She clung to his arm. "Aren’t you going to eat before you go?"
"No ti. They’re waiting." With that, he hurried off.

Bo Xichen’s car pulled up to a security center. Inside, many of Beicheng’s most influential figures were gathered. Even Old Lin had been summoned. King Jingyao, looking displeased, was presiding over the eting.
Bo Xichen hurried in and sat down beside Old Lin.
Old Lin glanced at him but said nothing.
King Jingyao’s expression eased slightly when he saw him. "Xichen, look at this data. See if your Fengxi can track Infinite’s whereabouts."
He slamd his fist on the table, his voice laced with barely suppressed fury. "This is utterly audacious! This is Beicheng! We won’t tolerate such brazen criminals!"
He commanded with a sweep of his hand, "This ti, we absolutely have to catch this bastard!"
Bo Xichen smiled faintly and opened the data and video footage provided by the hotel where the French dignitary had stayed.
The footage was sowhat blurry, but a white figure could still be seen scaling the exterior wall of the 88th-floor hotel, entering, and then exiting again about two minutes later...
Bo Xichen looked up. "Is that all? Just this?"
The room fell silent.
King Jingyao then spoke up. "This damn bastard... does he have eight legs? Can he scale cliffs and walk on walls?"
He lit a cigarette. "Having soone like this in Beicheng is a constant threat. Who would dare invest here anymore?"
He sounded anxious. "Xichen, quickly use Fengxi to check if Infinite is still in Beicheng."
Bo Xichen smiled and pressed his wristwatch.
Fengxi’s emotionless voice broadcast:
"[Infinite is still in Beicheng.]"
"[Infinite is aweso.]"
"[Infinite is amazing!]"
"[Scared yet? Trembling?]"
"[The one Infinite fears most is Bo Xichen...]"
The previously solemn eting room fell utterly silent.
Everyone was stunned. King Jingyao was so shocked that his cigarette burned down to his fingers before he even noticed.
Finally, Old Lin broke the silence. "Xichen, ah, is your system acting up?"
Bo Xichen calmly deactivated Fengxi. "Anxi might have tinkered with the system settings."
Old Lin chuckled. "That child is certainly a handful."
King Jingyao glanced at Bo Xichen, then said, "There’s another thod. This Infinite climbed in from the outside. If we had real-ti surveillance footage from traffic caras and such, we could trace Infinite’s movents."
Chen Ming interjected, "But on that day, all real-ti surveillance footage in Beicheng was erased."
Bo Xichen lit a cigarette. "So, we have no way to catch him?"
Chen Ming’s voice was unusually low. "There might be one person who can."
Bo Xichen looked at him.
Then, Chen Ming softly uttered two words: "Hacker KING."
Bo Xichen nearly choked. "Him?"
"Yes. Only the top hacker in the field could recover the deleted files," Chen Ming said slowly. "We’ve already obtained so basic information on Hacker KING."
Bo Xichen coughed. "Is that so?"
Chen Ming continued, unperturbed, "Yes. She once inadvertently left her ID while shopping online. She purchased a n’s shirt... Hmm, it’s the sa brand as the one you’re wearing, Professor Bo. The style is identical too. A European brand, prices start at 5,000. Quite tasteful."
