Gu Anxi chuckled, "I’ll be waiting for you."
Gu Mingzhu turned to leave, followed by a few of her steadfast followers.
Wang Qin ca over and quietly asked Gu Anxi, "Why does she always trouble you?"
Gu Anxi didn’t take it to heart. "Rich family syndro! She can’t stand anyone being better than her."
Wang Qin’s face turned red. "Anxi, you’re so confident."
Gu Anxi swung an arm around her. "I’ve got the ability as well, haven’t I?"
Pointing at Fang Ming, she continued, "The sun is quite nice. You go buy food from the cafeteria. We’ll eat here."
Fang Ming also wanted to use that sa arrogant ’I’, but after a tentative touch to his ribs, he decided against it. He obediently went to buy three als. They spread out a tablecloth and sat down on the grass for a picnic.
While eating, Wang Qin whispered the latest gossip, "Anxi, sothing big happened at school while you weren’t here..."
Gu Anxi casually responded, "Is the rice cooked?"
Wang Qin dropped her head low and squealed, "No, it didn’t."
Gu Anxi smiled and said, "If it’s not that, I can’t think of anything else at Beicheng University that could be considered big news."
Wang Qin... was sowhat chard by Gu Anxi’s words and snuggled up to her coquettishly.
Gu Anxi casually patted her with a boyfriend-like air. Fang Ming looked up, then touched his own ribs again, falling silent.
Wang Qin looked at Fang Ming cautiously. That one look made Fang Ming lose all words; he just smiled warmly.
Wang Qin’s little face turned even redder. She didn’t dare to speak and lowered her head, eating shyly like a demure young bride. When they finished eating, Gu Anxi shooed them away. "Go to the little grove. I want to sunbathe."

Gu Anxi reclined alone on a sun lounger, basking in the sun. Should she continue to stay at Beicheng University? It seed like such a waste of ti. Other than seeing Chu Yan, Wang Qin, or the campus belle, there didn’t seem to be anything else for her here.

About two minutes later, Bo Xichen replied, "Not very busy. What’s up?"
Gu Anxi carefully typed, "I’m coming to see you."
His reply was a single word: "Okay."
So she knew he actually was very busy. But she still wanted to see him. Even if he was busy, just hearing his voice would be nice.
Gu Anxi got up and drove directly to Yunxi Hospital. As soon as she arrived at Bo Xichen’s floor, Fengxi’s voice chirped cheerfully:
"Bo Xichen’s little treasure has arrived!"
"Professor Bo is in a eting."
"According to the thermal scan, Bo Xichen’s little treasure wants so affection."
Gu Anxi wrinkled her little nose.
"Turn off the alert!"
Fengxi didn’t seem scared of her at all and proceeded to broadcast the sa ssages to the attending physicians in the eting:
"Bo Xichen’s little treasure has arrived!"
"Professor Bo is in a eting."
"According to the thermal scan, Bo Xichen’s little treasure wants so affection."
Bo Xichen was presiding over a small team eting. Once Fengxi’s voice rang out, the eting couldn’t continue.
The other departnt heads all lowered their heads, glancing at each other with rather awkward expressions.
In the end, it was Director Hao who coughed lightly. "Professor Bo, why don’t we adjourn for now and continue later?"
Bo Xichen responded calmly, "No need. Dr. Gu will be here shortly to join our discussion."
The other departnt heads were thoroughly convinced of Gu Anxi’s dical skills. Her two surgeries had already beco legends at Yunxi Hospital—the stuff of myths. Many people at Yunxi Hospital, n and won alike, admired her greatly.
Just as they were speaking, Gu Anxi arrived. "Uncle, am I interrupting?"
Bo Xichen gave a slight smile. "Co join our discussion."
He signaled his secretary to pour a cup of water and then shifted aside slightly, allowing Gu Anxi to squeeze in beside him.
Although they couldn’t do much with others present, just being this close to him brought an indescribable sense of peace.
Bo Xichen handed her a patient’s file and continued the eting. Gu Anxi quickly got up to speed and integrated into the discussion. She offered several suggestions, and Director Hao’s eyes sparkled as he nodded repeatedly:
"Dr. Gu is certainly experienced."
"Dr. Gu’s insights are truly unique."
"Dr. Gu is right. I was thinking along the sa lines but wasn’t confident enough. Dr. Gu is truly bold yet ticulous."

One piece of sugar-coated flattery after another, incredibly sycophantic.
Usually, when these senior attending physicians were with Bo Xichen, they wouldn’t lay on the flattery so thickly. But with Gu Anxi around, the atmosphere imdiately changed. They didn’t know why; it just happened naturally.
Perhaps it was because Mr. Li, a Vice Director, had once co over. They had accidentally witnessed this highly positioned Vice Director addressing the young Dr. Gu as "President," referring to himself as "Little Li" with utmost humility. Dr. Gu had said she wasn’t the President anymore, but Little Li insisted, "The President will always be my President."
DAMN! At that mont, Director Hao and the others had a revelation—they really didn’t know how to curry favor! So this was the style Dr. Gu appreciated! Look at how Little Li had risen from an obscure small city to his current position—Dr. Gu’s patronage had undoubtedly played a significant role!
Right! From now on, they had to follow suit!
Gu Anxi had no idea what they were thinking. She just found it cheesy, but... this familiar tune of flattery felt strangely comforting? So she didn’t object and actually quite enjoyed it.
Bo Xichen, however, found it hard to stomach. These were so of the country’s leading surgeons, for crying out loud! For a eting to turn out like this... he was truly speechless. He didn’t say anything, rely giving a few of the highly respected doctors a pointed look. They lowered their heads, pretending not to see it. He could only sigh internally.
