Gu Anxi knew what he was thinking from his gaze and cheerfully took away the lilies.
Min Xin was instantly back in heaven from hell.

He looked at Gu Anxi and began softly, "I’d like to say a few words to Little Gu. Is that convenient for her?"
Gu Anxi chuckled. "I’m not sure if Sister Zhou would find it convenient to be here."
Min Xin, unable to handle this sharp-witted young woman, resorted to his usual commanding tone. "Zhou Yu, step out for a mont."
Zhou Yu usually played along with his antics, but having co from a prominent family, she knew how to act appropriately for the situation and stepped out.
Once only Min Xin and Gu Anxi remained in the room, Min Xin slightly closed his eyes and sneered, "Little Gu, you really played your cards well."
"Right back at you!" Gu Anxi clapped. "Mr. Min, to still possess such ntal acuity even after anesthesia—you truly are exceptionally skilled at scheming."
Min Xin had experienced her sharp tongue before. This little rascal was always deviously clever. Now that it was just the two of them, he chose to discuss cooperation calmly. "The people today, you arranged them, didn’t you?"
Now that it was out in the open, Gu Anxi didn’t mince words. "However, the bullet in you, Mr. Min, wasn’t my doing. You can ask your acquaintances if anyone recognizes this bullet casing."
Gu Anxi placed the bullet casing in front of him. "Mr. Min, I believe you should recognize sothing you yourself sent out."

Gu Anxi didn’t press him. Soone else would, anyway.
She sat to one side, playing with her phone, extrely patient.
A very long ti later, Min Xin finally spoke, his voice hoarse, "Gu Anxi, can you protect her?"
Gu Anxi smiled. "For my old brother’s sake, I can protect her. I just don’t know if she’ll end up with my old brother. After all, they’re of similar age and both good-looking; it would be normal if they got together. Oh, right, you’ll need to sign the divorce papers first. Soone like Sister Zhou wouldn’t engage in... that sort of thing while married."
Veins bulged on Min Xin’s forehead as he gritted his teeth. "Of course."
Gu Anxi stood up. "Alright, then. I’ll call Sister Zhou in so you can say your goodbyes."

Gu Anxi said, "Oh. Sorry, poor choice of words."
She went out and called Zhou Yu. "Um, your brother-in-law has sothing to say to you."
Zhou Yu delicately went over and sat down. Gu Anxi leaned against the doorfra. Min Xin looked at her. "Shouldn’t you give us so privacy?"
Gu Anxi retorted smoothly, "Last night at the hotel, I was right outside your window, and you didn’t ask to leave then either."
She added cheerfully, "Brother-in-law, you look better in a bathrobe than a hospital gown."
With that, she opened the door and went out.
Min Xin closed his eyes again. "Yuyu, are you sure you want to be with her?"
He really couldn’t stand the thought of his fairy turning into soone as shaless as Gu Anxi!
Zhou Yu, not knowing what was happening, simply sat there quietly.
Min Xin finally spoke, his voice soft, "Yuyu, you have two choices now. Tell which one to choose."
She looked at him, puzzled.
Min Xin spoke with difficulty, "First, we continue as before. You keep living in the villa, and I won’t have other won. Even if it seems I do, it won’t be real. I’ll co ho every day... As for children... we’ll see depending on the situation."
Zhou Yu asked softly, "And the second path?"
Min Xin lowered his gaze. "Haven’t you always wanted to leave ?"
Zhou Yu stared at him, hardly believing her ears.
He said she could leave?
Her throat tightened, and she asked him repeatedly. Min Xin, enduring the pain, managed a faint smile. "Yes, I’m willing to let go now. Yuyu, you must be very happy, aren’t you?"
Happy? Zhou Yu didn’t know.
She only knew that her heart ached, pounding fiercely.
Min Xin closed his eyes slightly. "Go, before I change my mind. Find Gu Anxi; she’ll take care of you."

Zhou Yu lowered her head. "I’m not that useless."
Min Xin opened his eyes, looked at her, and said softly, "Why are you crying? Didn’t you desperately want to leave ? Wasn’t my slightest touch unbearable to you? Wasn’t living with oppressive, to the point you couldn’t sleep? I’m letting you go now, so why the tears?"
He couldn’t move; otherwise, he would have held her and comforted her.
His Yuyu... she’s grown up, yet she’s still the sa as before...
Letting go... but how could he truly be at ease?
If it weren’t for soone as formidable as Gu Anxi, he probably would never have been able to let go in this lifeti!
Zhou Yu lifted her gaze and looked at the man.
The man gazed back at her, a bitter smile on his lips. "Go. I’ll handle all the formalities... and I’ll help arrange your future life as well."
