Gu Anxi turned off Fengxi and continued with the operation. All the while, Min Xin stared straight at her, observing this young girl whom he’d heard King Jingyao treasured greatly. Gu Anxi removed her mask. "There are no major issues, but for at least the next two weeks, it’s best if he doesn’t move around too much. Also, he should stop letting his temper get the better of him and getting into fights. If this happens again, his arm will be completely useless."
The secretary was visibly relieved.
Gu Anxi went over to check on Min Xin again, feeling a mix of resentnt and pity. He’s had a life of power, yet he couldn’t hold onto the woman he loved most. What good did all that power actually do him?
After taking a shower, she went to her Uncle Bo’s office.
Bo Xichen was reading so docunts. He smiled when he heard her co in. "Is Min Xin’s situation sorted out?"
Gu Anxi hugged him from behind, resting her chin on his shoulder. "Physical ailnts are easy to cure; it’s the ailnts of the heart that are hard!"
He laughed, casually pulling her off his shoulder and into his arms. "Sounds like you have quite a bit of sympathy for him."
Gu Anxi snuggled into him. "I wouldn’t say sympathy. It’s more like I feel this man still doesn’t know what he wants, even now."
Resting her chin on his arm, she seed distracted. "To be honest, Big Brother is much more ruthless than him. Min Xin is actually far more emotionally impulsive, and that’s why he’s always been subordinate to others over these years."
Bo Xichen smiled faintly.
The little darling hugged him again. "Uncle, don’t you have any ambition? Don’t all n fantasize about awakening to power and controlling everything?"
He lowered his head, nuzzling her adoringly. "So people might prefer to recline in a beauty’s lap, hmm... just like now."
I’m certainly not a beauty! The little darling was a bit proudly coy. "I’m a little rascal."
She whispered again, "Bo Xichen’s one and only little darling."
He laughed. "So, why would I need power?"
He paused for a mont. "As long as my wife handles everything, I’m content. I’m counting on my wife to protect ."
Gu Anxi quietly called him shaless, then cuddled for a while longer, sitting in his lap and counting his fingers. Bo Xichen rested his chin on her hair and continued reading his docunts. The scene was quite heartwarming.
Min Xin’s secretary ca looking for Gu Anxi. Peeking into the room, the secretary saw this scene and sighed inwardly. So, this is how Dr. Gu is in front of Professor Bo! Such an adorable and gentle little girl. Why is she so harsh towards Mr. Min then?
The secretary knocked on the door and cleared their throat slightly. "Dr. Gu, Mr. Min is awake."
Gu Anxi frowned. "He woke up so soon?"
Such strong willpower! He was exhausted, tired as a dog, yet he still managed to wake up?
She imdiately understood. He probably wants to see Zhou Yu but can’t bring himself to say it, so he had his secretary call instead.
